The writing style is lively and I couldn't stop reading. I was 90% finished with the book and I had to wait a couple of days to finish the last 10% because I got caught up with emotions and I just didn't want this story to end

Tyler knows how to write not just about ordinary people, but ones who are flawed, so that we see their flaws through them far more vividly than the people around them. This short novel focuses on loss and mourning and if there are things we find hard to believe that can become believable in certain circumstances. Four in a Grave
This. Book.

I have no words.

But I will try my absolute best, to sum up my feelings.

This book is about Tessa who is the only living survivor of a serial killer who buried her alive along with three other girls. Their grave was then covered with 'black-eyed Susans' which are a yellow flowered weed (hence the title of the book)

The New Year always makes me ponder on the passage of time. That also made me think about this highly creative novel, which is a carefully written and fascinating to read, despite the somewhat unbelievable aspect that anyone could have a genetic problem that causes them to travel in time.
