Feisty, funny, fizzy and deeply wise, “Enough Said” sparkles within and without, just like the rare gem that it is.

This story of a family for which some plowing up of the surface is required in order to get to the rich, fertile truths beneath is one of my favorites. You can read my full review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/09/25/plowing-through-the-family-problems/

Tell me something... Can Backman do ANYTHING wrong? Well, apparently he thinks that his fathering skills aren't up to snuff, but what he does with that is one fantastic read! My #bookreview for this is on my blog here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/05/09/fatherhood-and-its-flaws/

This biographical, historical, women’s fiction novel, is very unique in that it is told almost as a memoir, but with a twist I think makes it special. I hope you’ll check out my #bookreview for this novel, on my blog here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/09/06/a-good-ghost/

In this collection of 13 deeply personal short stories, David Gordon delves into both the absurd and the intense sides of being just what he is, a writer. Sztokman's extremely compelling study of the growing worldwide phenomenon of the marginalization of women uses Israel as its test case to prove how religious fundamentalism is more insidious than we can imagine. The Bad Batch (2016)

Waterhouse's performance struggles to convey simple behaviour convincingly - such as thinking about stuff or caring what happens. Amirpour is a talented director with a wonderful eye but her style lacks substance
Critic- John Bleasdale
Original Score: 2 out of 5

Not having read any of Mary Burton’s books before [where have I been living!!!!], I didn’t know what to expect but the description sounded like something I would enjoy and I did.

This book sucked eggs. Where's the continuity? It came out after Freshman Fury, but there's no mention of KC witnessing Brooks falling to his death, or Winnie's miscarriage.

It also has some insipid kidnapping plot and Lauren sucking up to her parents. Lame.

<2013> Nice ableism there, Sarah.
