When I reviewed this book in 2013, I said that if you read only one book that year that this should be the one. In fact, it got the #1 spot on my “best of 2013” list. My admiration for this book has not faded, and I included it in my seven-day book cover challenge here on Facebook recently. You can find out why “A Tale for the Time Being” by Ruth Ozeki is so special from my review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/05/06/a-novel-that-sweeps-in-like-the-tide/

I enjoy Alice's trip through the mirror much better because of the increased creativity and the more focused plot.

Fun look at Christmas traditions with Amelia's literal twist. Nothing out of the ordinary for the series, but still fun.

While I think the novellas could be expanded into full novels, they're still great fun and I hope to see more in this world.

Three stories kept this book moving quickly. I really did enjoy it and had a hard time putting it down.
