Cynthia Ozick is an amazing writer and I'm surprised I've never read anything by her before. This is probably one of the most unusual books I've ever read - and I mean that in the best possible way. You can read my review of this novel here https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/02/21/a-job-of-a-woman/

What happens when an author of historical dramatic fiction takes on the likes of the Knighted inventor of Jeeves and Wooster? You might be surprised to hear that what happens is actually a whole lot of fun! You can read my full review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/07/15/a-compliment-to-p-g-wodehouse/

The last novel of author Paul Torday is practically a script for the TV series "Criminal Minds" but with an unusual twist. (What a shame we won't have any more of his books in the future.) Read my review of this fascinating crime fiction novel here https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/02/13/a-glimmer-to-find-what-was-lost/

If you were only 16, your mother was murdered, and your father in jail for the crime, you probably wouldn't have a clue how to handle it, but that's exactly what Tate McCoy has to do. I’m nowhere near ready to take on the game’s hardest difficulty levels, but “Arms” is the first fighting game to pique my interest since “Super Smash Bros” in 2014

my favorite film of all time.
We watched this for my Creative Writing class when I was in the 10th grade in 2014. I had never heard of it before, but after watching it, it broke me. Fantastic acting from the entire cast, especially from the late Robin Williams. It really captured the essence of friendship and camaraderie between the characters.

This is one of the most artistic and original pieces of writing I've read in a very long time. The characters are drawn with both gentle and swift strokes, revealing far more about them in a few words than other authors do in whole volumes. I don't usually read children's books but this one was written by friends of a good friend of mine. And who wouldn't want to read a beautifully illustrated book about a mouse detective that is hunting for lost notes written by Mozart?
