GameCritics (290 KP) rated Grand Theft Auto V in Video Games
Sep 21, 2017
Grand Theft Auto V on the Playstation 4 is a no-brainer, just as easy as the decision to get your favorite movie on Blu-ray. With this latest version, Rockstar’s latest game is no longer just a masterpiece. It’s now a state-of-the-art technical marvel.

The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated Where the Wild Things Are in Books
Oct 7, 2020
When Maurice Sendak passed away, I thought it would be only appropriate to review what arguably, is his best children's book. "Where the Wild Things Are" captured the hearts of so many people - both young and old. It is so much loved that they had to make a movie out of it (unfortunately). The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated Ardor in Books
Oct 7, 2020
This is a story about love - misdirected love, unrequited love and love between people who, for one reason or another, never find a way to bring their mutual affection out into the open. What makes this story unusual is that at the center of this story is the love that a donkey has for a human! The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated Vienna Nocturne: A Novel in Books
Oct 7, 2020
Anyone who loves classical music in general, and opera in particular, will have high hopes for a historical fiction book about the real woman who was Mozart's muse for the part of Suzanna in "Marriage of Figaro". So if you start reading it and it initially disappoints, keep going, because it certainly picks up nicely. The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated Anil's Ghost in Books
Oct 7, 2020
This is a book that will captivate you, by its ability to transport you to a time and place that you've probably never visited, or read about before. Anil herself is a complex character that evokes far more than what is revealed. The plot here is one that is both fascinating, and out of the ordinary. The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated The Brotherhood of Book Hunters in Books
Oct 7, 2020
Poet François Villon is about to be put to death, but a group of people, many in high places, have other plans for him and his love for the written word. Rescued at the last moment, he enters into a wide-reaching strategy to undermine the Papacy, which will take him on an eternal journey. The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated The Time Traveler's Wife in Books
Oct 5, 2020
The New Year always makes me ponder on the passage of time. That also made me think about this highly creative novel, which is a carefully written and fascinating to read, despite the somewhat unbelievable aspect that anyone could have a genetic problem that causes them to travel in time. Find out what I thought of this best-selling debut novel by Audrey Niffenegger in my review here. http://drchazan.blogspot.com/2014/09/take-time-to-travel-with-this-book.html
The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated The Universe Versus Alex Woods in Books
Oct 7, 2020
When it comes to "coming of age" novels, the first one that comes to mind is always Catcher in the Rye. But that was written in the 1950s and one wonders if it isn't a bit out of touch with the times. Then along came Alex Woods, who could very well be the Holden Caulfield of the 21st Century. Read why in my full review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/07/29/a-21st-century-holden-caulfield/
