The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated The Author and Me in Books
Oct 7, 2020
In an attempt to prove that characters are not necessarily the mouthpieces of their authors, Eric Chevillard takes us on a highly controversial journey, where the lines of reality and fiction are constantly blurred. The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated The Living in Books
Oct 7, 2020
This mostly low-key thriller caught my eye because it takes place in today's peaceful Ireland where the country's past gets dredged up through an unlikely employee of a book publisher. The Chocolate Lady (94 KP) rated Neither Here Nor There in Books

A sweet book, and a nice little love story placed in a situation that isn't often found in novels. Drori has a good eye for finding a unique twist to the usual "boy meets girl" plot. You can read my full review here https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2014/11/28/abandonment-and-devotion/

Movie Critics (823 KP) rated Gone Girl (2014) in Movies
May 23, 2017
The film's real central theme is a misanthropic but all too on the money exploration of what we really want from our romantic partners. To say anymore would be to reveal post twist plot

MusicCritics (472 KP) rated Wanted on Voyage by George Ezra in Music

Requiring menace from an album that references the label on Paddington's suitcase is probably asking a bit much. But it's this darkish side that keeps you listening past the blithe singalongs.
