A thrilling spectacle...
hough it takes a little bit to find its groove, this is easily one of the MCU’s strongest entries once it gets started. It’s possibly the strongest live-action Spider-Man film to date, living up to its great responsibilities.

Not top of the mountain, yet hardly a case of get in the sea, Biffy Clyro’s first cinematic foray Balance, Not Symmetry is a well-intentioned if unrefined affair, where you end up wishing the narrative finesse just measured up to the anthemic music underpinning it.

Blinded by the Light (2019)
2019 | Biography, Comedy, Drama
Perfectly poised to be the runaway feel-good hit of the summer, and it is almost impossible not to be charmed by it. A sublime slice of pure escapism, this film is the toe-tapping embodiment of joy that we all need right now.

I can't resist historical fiction novels, especially ones set in England or ones about the Suffragette Movement. Author Lissa Evans gave me all of this in her novel "Old Baggage" and you can read my #bookreview of this work on my blog here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/04/12/going-for-the-second-chances/

Woohoo! This is my 300th book review! See what I thought of this historical, biographical, women's fiction novel that is being touted as a "summer read" (because of the romance aspect) but I call it "Heaven Scent" (and no, that's not a misspelling) on my blog now! https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/07/12/heaven-scent/

And now for something a little different - a review of a photography book! This one is by a friend of mine, Debbie Zimelman, and I think it is very special, and it was five years in the making. See my #bookreview of it here https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2019/04/30/photos-of-female-fighters/
