Horror-lite yarn that might have benefitted from a 12A
Directed by “Troll Hunter” director André Øvredal, I really enjoyed this one. I’m not a massive fan of ‘slasher’ style horror films. I have no burning desire to be constantly reminded of what the inside of my body looks like. So this turned out to be much-more to my liking than the normal horror flick. It had enough spookiness to make me turn on the lights when I got back home, but not enough to pervade my dreams.

Isn't It Romantic (2019)? Yep, it's also pretty funny!
There’s a gently subversive streak to Netflix’s latest ‘original’ offering “Isn’t It Romantic” as it sets out to undermine the worn-out romcom tropes while simultaneously adhering to the framework of the genre in this bright and breezy comedy that reunites Rebel Wilson and Adam Devine after “Pitch Perfect 3” cruelly tore them apart....

Eighth Grade (2019) will make you remember what it's like to be 14 again - and very glad you're not!
The insightful writing and direction, the virtuoso camerawork and the careful balancing act between comedy and drama is grounded by such an astonishingly authentic and natural performance from Elsie Fisher that it feels like an enormous privilege to be granted this view into Kayla’s inner life...

Colette (2018)
Colette (2018)
2018 | Drama, History
Colette (2019) sees Keira Knightly ghostwriting for Willy while enjoying fanny by gaslight.
Taking a few liberties with the Libertine life and times of celebrated French novelist Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette, “Colette” is a sumptuous and sensual but occasionally aimless and indulgent biopic that’s perhaps a little too interested in signposting the contemporary resonances than in providing a wider historical context to its subject’s life...

There is not currently a good way of sorting a long list of items by date of release. If I want to see all the 2019 movies I have rated, I cannot. Also, the same film appears multiple times when scrolling through my ratings. Finally, it would also be nice to have the option to see just film title and rating when looking through a large list of ratings.

I've raised this before. My 2019 list had the Irishman listed 3 times. If you try to delete the extra listings it often deletes the film completely. Also happened with John wick 3 and Perfection.
As for the sorting if I try to look at my film ratings there are over 2,000 I think. It only shows them alphabetically or in rating order. It would take forever to scroll down to films with lower ratings. It would be nice to have a filter so it could show just films rated 5/10 for example.
Other sorting options could be date rated order, low to high etc.

Hi Dave, My example of multiple films is not from a list rather My Profile, Ratings tab if I sort by rating. Duplicate movies include Die Hard, Papillon and Requiem For a Dream. Think of my request like if I wanted to create a list titles "The greatest films of the decade." Rather difficult right now to determine what 2019 movies I have rated. Can't look at just 2019 ratings easily.

Ma is an absolutely wild ride of a film; it orbits you on social media for a couple of months before ghosting you and then coming back out of nowhere with some seriously WTF moments. It had me screaming with laughter and then screaming in terror, something that I find to be one of the most effective storytelling methods within the horror genre.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
2019 | Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Godzilla: King of the Monsters isn’t the film that we were all waiting for. It isn’t even in the ‘so bad it’s good’ category. For what should have been a fun summer blockbuster full of excitement, it lacks the energy and spirit for a truly great Godzilla film and that is the biggest disappointment of all. Long live the King.

Booksmart (2019)
2019 | Comedy
Booksmart is fun and funny, though not as funny as it thinks it is, and has a strong friendship at its core. It takes a while for the film to find its feet and it’s not until Amy and Molly are in full party-hunting-mode that it figures out what it wants to be. The soundtrack is pretty killer though.
