I've seen recommendations for Six of Crows repeatedly throughout the last year or two. Favorite Series? Six of Crows. Best female assassin? Six of Crows. Best fantasy book? Six of Crows. There has been a lot of hype around this series, from what I've seen. I finally decided to give it a try - it's not necessarily part of my usual read, but I figured, if I could love the Throne of Glass series, then certainly I could get into this. I did. I enjoyed it, even with the many different point of views and third person perspective. However - and here is where I make my enemies - I didn't absolutely love it. Perhaps, like TOG, it gets better with each book, but while this first installment gets 3 stars from me (and it's a steady 3 stars, honestly), I don't believe I could rate it any higher than that. I do plan on continuing the series, full of hope that I might eventually begin to love it, but until then, I suppose I'll have to go with: "I liked it."

A very steamy book indeed and a good story overall. The reason i gave this book 3 stars is because i found it very hard to get into and hard to understand at times. There seemed to be a lot going on all at once and the story kept jumping back and forward through time, also the constant having to look at the back of the book for the glossary was very distracting, other than that it was a very enjoyable read.

What an ending!

I liked this more than the first, more action packed and character development. It was nice to learn more about Sophie's dad and Cal.

I am so intrigued about what's going to happen next with everything; the Council, the Brannicks, The Eye.

I'm hoping that Archer and Sophie get some sort of happy ending and that maybe Sophie's mum and dad might get together again.

Right now I'm off to hunt for Book 3 online!

DUUUUUUUDE okay so the fact that this book took me 3 months to read is in no way indicative of how much I loved this (okay the start was slow and it took me a good 200 pages to get into but this is the first fantasy epic i've read since harry potter so can you blame me???????) once i picked this up again I was hooked with a capital H, I love the premise and I love how carefully Tomi Adeyemi has built this world from the language, to the cities, to the magical lionaires (which i want one of btw) also i may be in love with inan more that I probably should be <spoiker> and it's probably an unpopular opinion for me to really want him and zelie to get together again but i love a good hate to love trope and an angsty boy so here i am.</spoiler> I can't wait for the next book in this series to come out because I NEED MORE ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 STARS 5 STARS 5 STARS
