A real slog
All the focus and punch of the first series seems to have been lost. So many of the plotlines were just nonsense and throwaway. And frankly nobody ever dies. Even when they definitely seem to be dead, along comes some nonsense organic 3D printing and they're back again.
I was vaguely aware there was something about red signals throughout but it was only in the last few episodes I worked out what the point was.
Some more truly atrocious acting from Anthony Rapp and another bad pantomime baddie performance from Michelle Yeoh.
So much of the story just didn't add up, for example there were a number of holes in the time travel aspect, and so many of Discovery's discoveries seemed to be never mentioned again (the 3D printing, the harnessing of energy) despite having numerous possibilities.
All in all a long, tedious slog of a series.

2017 | Action/Adventure
Super Lucky’s Tale is a fine 3D platformer. It blends in more types of platforming than most entries in the genre and keeps the collect-a-thon to a minimum. The core of the game is platforming and that keeps the pace of the action fairly fast.

Well, this was a predictable, but pretty movie. I think I may have gotten to the point in my life where I sympathize more with the adults than the bratty kids. Or, maybe because the father was Mr. Darcy.
The best thing was the visuals, and the fact that a real-life ballerina was actually used to perform. Misty Copeland danced beautifully and seeing it in 3D was amazing.

Half decent Slasher film
An OK Slasher film that starts quite well as a small towns student's are being killed off while revealing some dark secrets about them. The killer wears a 3d printed mask of their face.
The pace at the start slowly fizzles out though. The killers motive and the finale are quite weak though, could have better. One for Horror fans.

This movie was on the borderline between good and just ok, I rounded up. I was irritated because the theater where I have the subscription with was only showing the film in 3D. I'm not a huge 3D fan, and don't think anything is really added by it.
I know James Cameron was supposed to be the main draw, but I think he's pompous, and Avatar is not a good movie (IMO/it's lame and a snore). I was there mainly for Robert Rodriguez, he's a BFD here.
Essentially, it's Ghost in the Shell with a different story around it. I loved the fight/actions scenes, I was riveted by those. But, everything around it was kind of lame with bad dialogue and an unnecessary love story.
I also hated that it left on a cliffhanger. The movie drastically under-performed, leading to the worst Presidents' Day box office in the US since 2004. Likelihood of a sequel? Slim to none.

Imax can be better...

Are you not entertained!? Bugs! 3D! Sounds interesting. Should be interesting but unless the experience was 100% different and by that, I mean better on the Imax screen, then this was a real disappointment. The 3D was good, considering, though I did see in via the RED/CYAN format which obviously has its drawbacks, but it was still very effective.

The documentary short follows several insects who reside in the rainforest, some fight, though be it slowly, some forage and some hide and literally 'make like a tree', but don't really leave. And though this is interesting, Imax demands more if we are to be entertained.

The DVD: The DVD is a rarity, available on Region 2 DVD but only in Germany, and the now defunct HD-DVD, again in Europe. It's worth it as a collectible but not as a Saturday night's entertainment. Rent "Dumbo" if a short film is your pleasure!

A decent survival thriller. Watched it on DVD so don't know how good it is in 3D. The cave looks amazing and steals the show really, otherwise it ends up follow a already well trodden path for this type of film and offers little new. I have to say as well why oh why make the English actor do an awful American accent, why not make his character English and save embarrassment!

I am a big fan of the Steve Alten book series of the Meg. Now....when it comes to the movie....it was....entertaining at most. I saw it in 3D so maybe that’s why. Special effects were okay....nothing spectacular. I do feel that maybe if the movie were casted differently....my rating may be a little different. Wasn’t a big fan of the acting (if that is what we can call it)....

Rolling Stone's 203rd greatest album of all time
Superb from start to finish, a sublime album. It is amazing how many of his songs, and some of the best pop songs of all time, are on this one album. From the epic rock anthem Bad, to the introspective Man in the Mirror, the funky Smooth Criminal and the disco of Another Part of Me (which reminds me of the cringeworthy Captain EO 3D film).

Jungle Cruise may not be one of the best movies out there at the moment, but is certainly a lot of fun with the 3D and 4DX, but I don’t think the movie would have been as much fun without the extra effects, the movie seems to pull in from so much that we have seen done before with those hints of Indiana Jones, Pirates of the Caribbean and National Treasure.
