I adored this book. I got stalking jack the ripper vibes when I first started reading this - but since I hated ripper I thought for sure I would grow to dislike this book - but that was not the case at all for me. I thought it was well written and interesting and not predictable at all, I thought for sure I knew who did it but.. nope, wrong! There were a few parts I was like, meh on, hence the 4 stars instead of 5 but still a definite must read book!

I won this ARC from a Goodreads Giveaway and had been looking forward to reading it. However, I was pretty disappointed with this book, with all the great buzz that had been created so far. I would give it 2.5 out of 5 stars. For all the drama I felt like it really lacked excitement until the last three chapters and it still was wrapped up extremely quickly once you reached the part that was a real page turner. I did enjoy the chapter switch from each character narrative.

What was with that ending? "Paradise is waiting for you." I really hope that's in regards to her getting a HEA in the end and not death because I don't think I could cope with that.

A proper rollercoaster once more. Loving some more Gods action, apart from that bit with Ares and Alex near the end. I wanted to murder him myself!

Off to start book 5! And hoping everything works out in the end for this lot and no more semi important characters getting killed off. Please...

Again, my complaint that Goodreads doesn't allow half-star ratings. Roomhate gets a 4.5/5 stars for me! I absolutely loved the story, from beginning to end. Who doesn't enjoy a relationship where love is forbidden and the sexual tension is thick enough to taste? The ending was beautiful - no ifs, ands, or buts about it. I wanted to immediately unread just so I could re-read it all over again and enjoy the pure sunshine it put into my soul. That's literally how happy the ending made me.

If you've never heard of Emma Koehler, then you know nothing about the beer industry in San Antonio Texas. But even if that subject matter doesn't interest you, Emma should, because she had both a fascinating and tragic life. Camille Di Maio does a lovely job of taking little to no information about this real-life personality and turning it into a biographical, historical, women's fiction novel. Really enjoyed this... it does seem to have led into a follow up book which can be annoying at times, especially if the author doesn't wrap up what is going on in the plot of the current book. This one did slightly do this hence the 4 stars and not 5.
All in all I really enjoyed the concept and plot of this book. I disliked one of the main characters which I don't think was intentional but that is a personal preference.
Would defo recommend to YA/dystopian fans.
