Auburn (57 KP) rated Tell Me No Lies in Books
Apr 10, 2019
A slow paced story set in the 80s about a girl growing into herself and life during her high school senior year. Everyone has secrets but it seems drawn out in finding out and not affecting anyone else in a way it might.
I enjoyed the story but it was kind of slow and I felt like we missed out on everyone else with only one perspective.

Bohan Reviews (215 KP) rated Halloween (1978) in Movies

It does have a lot of the campy qualities that are so infamous in regards to the horror movies of the 70s and 80s, but the film also succeeds in developing such an effective sense of horror and tension that it’s easy to see how it spawned countless sequels and an entire genre of horror films.

General Lee
As I grew up watching dukes of hazzard in the 80s wasn't sure if this would be the same it's not the original is still the best. There are some great stunts involving the car the general Lee I gave the film an extra point just for Jessica Simpson and the car I will always stick with the original show

Gore
Just finished watching on shudder and I liked the movie very much the references to other horror movies the biggest nod the film gives to the Friday the 13th movies obviously the ditector and the writers are fans of 80s slasher movies and it shows plenty of gore on hand both the lead characters are likeable all and all thumbs up
Paul Tyrrell (139 KP) rated The New Avengers in TV

Quite fun but badly dated
Seeing Joanna Lumley kicking ass as Purdey was great but Gareth Hunt as Mike Gambit was supposed to offer some eye candy for the ladies didn't really suit. He was better in those coffee adverts from the late 80s lol.
Still a bit tongue in cheek like the originals but didn't quite have the same magic
