This show was so much fun! 100% escapism entertainment, and absolutely reveling in it.

Throughout the season, you learn the various reasons why these particular women kill (all living in the same house in different time periods) - Ginnifer Goodwin in the 60s, Lucy Liu in the 80s, and Kirby Howell-Baptiste in the present - but the twists guarantee you'll never know exactly WHO they're going to kill. The entire cast is amazing, but Lucy Liu completely stole the show as far as I'm concerned. She perfectly embodies 80s excess (the hair! the clothes!), and she has some truly great lines. My favorite: when a hike across the Alps is suggested, Simone's line is "Good lord, are we going on vacation or fleeing from the Nazis?" 😄

The last episode was so well done; the way they shot it - so that all 3 timelines begin to blend together at the climax - was genius. The setup for season 2 was perfectly in keeping with the tone of the show, and I for one can't wait to see what they do with it.

I'd always considered Tartikoff a kind of hero, for indelibly knowing how television worked and making his mark there. The man was responsible for an incredible run of my favorite shows at NBC in the 80s, and this book, full of anecdotal stories is a lot of fun to read, but doesn't quite go far enough into the day to day making of those shows or running of the network. But it is entertaining and like Tartikoff's NBC programing something you shouldn't miss.

Watched a really good action thriller on Amazon called "Braven" starring Jason Mamoa. Remind me a lot of some of the old action movies from the 80s and 90s. Good acting, great cinematography, well played out (and fairly believable) storyline. He plays a logger who has to fight off drug dealers who've stashed a bunch of drugs in his hunting cabin in the woods. Really well made. I highly recommend this movie if you're into action stories. REALLY worth a watch!

Sigh...
This movie was horrible. The nno talent actors brought a weak performance to one of my favorite genres(zombie horror). The cinematography and effects looked like something out of an 80s "B" rated movie. The story was your typical "friends going on a school break for some fun turns deadly" and didn't even do it with any originality. I would not force this movie on my worst enemy as it would be cruel and unusual punishment. NOT worth a watch!
