Sigh...

This movie was horrible. The nno talent actors brought a weak performance to one of my favorite genres(zombie horror). The cinematography and effects looked like something out of an 80s "B" rated movie. The story was your typical "friends going on a school break for some fun turns deadly" and didn't even do it with any originality. I would not force this movie on my worst enemy as it would be cruel and unusual punishment. NOT worth a watch!

Watched today wanted to see what all the fuss is all about without giving too much away this is coming of age drama especially if you’re a teenager we’ve gone thru it me back in the 80s but at least I didn’t turn into a giant red panda. The animation is great especially on Mei as she turns into the panda overall decent movie for the kids some of its abit adult for youngsters but not bad movie

A less polished Highlander, but with vikings

The first third of the film focuses on a conflict between Vikings and feels like a throwback to 80s fantasy movies. It takes the mythical Valykries and makes them into vampires basically, able to grant immortality and power through a bite.
Without spoiling details, a betrayal occurs that sets a rift between two brothers that are chosen for immortality and power. This rift leads to a conflict that spans centuries as they are reborn again and again to continually face off against each other. One on the name of Odin, the other for his own destiny. The film then jumps to modern times, where the conflict is still going.
The story isn't all that original, but it isn't bad, with a decent twist at the end. The acting for most of the cast is not great, but not bad. The music, however, is quite good.
Overall, it isn't a bad movie, but is severely hurt by production quality and some poor decisions in design. For example, it's difficult to take the protagonist,s enemies seriously when they are running around the city in bear skins and armor. The decision to add an odd and terrible looking glow effect to the Valykries at times or when immortals are killed, was another strike. Despite it's shortcomings, I don't regret watching it. The movie is fun for what it is, and I happen to like 80s fantasy, which whether purposely or not, it captures the feeling of to me.

I was amazed at this movie.
The story was just ok
The acting was great
Action was great
But what go me to liking this movie was the style. The technical side is what got me. Camera shot were great. Shooting this as a movie from the 70s great. They even brought in the beginning credits like movies prior to the 80s. If it was not for how clean cut the shots were i would have thought this was a cult classic from the 70s.

"I’m a child of the ’80s and ’90s, and I just feel this film strikes a chord like no other. It’s such a wonderful portrayal of a generation of adolescents who simply felt like they had no real causes to fight for. In some respects, they were left to create problems for themselves to solve, and this film does a great job of caricaturing that “comfortable”—but honestly uncomfortable—plight of a generation. Owen Wilson’s performance as Dignan is also one of my all-time favorites."

"A murder mystery set in the gay leather bars of NYC in the '80s. Truly a mysterious film wherein the audience gets lost in the fabric of the story as the character does. Pacino doesn’t like to talk about this film, but it’s maybe his greatest performance. The gay community in NYC didn’t know whether to support or repel this film, which saw spells of people showing up near location banging pots and pans, bouncing light off mirrors and renting apartments next door to blast music."
