Beautiful graphics & engaging plot
I have been waiting forever for the library copy of this book to finally be available! I am so glad I waited. I first learned of the Amulet series when I worked in a bookstore. I just started to get into graphic novels and it was always a book I passed by and thought "I should read that." When my niece came to my house toating the book around like precious cargo, I knew it was time to finally read it!

The Stonekeeper is the first book in the series and it really does a great job of setting up the story. The graphics were breathtakingly good & I loved how it was just the perfect amount of dark. I will say, it surprised me how dark it was but that isn't a bad thing. I tend to like grittier things so it was a pleasant surprise. The plot kept my interest and I will definitely need to keep reading the series!

Disclaimer: I won a print copy of this book in a FirstReads giveaway.

When I first read the synopsis, I was hesitant to enter the giveaway, as I didn't know how much I would enjoy this book. However, I talked myself into it, and I'm definitely glad I did, because it's a great book. The idea of demons, or "corelings," rising through the ground every night to attack people and tear up everything is just really interesting, and I don't know why I was hesitant to begin with. I found myself growing attached to the three main characters as their stories unfolded, and I couldn't wait to see what happened on the next page. There's a ton of action, the paranormal/horror aspect of attacking demons, some historical elements, and even a little romance, so it's got something for everyone. I decided less than halfway through that I'm going to get the 2nd and 3rd books, and I can't wait to get started on them!!

i was hooked from the beginning fell in love with the 2 little girls, found hatred for benny immediately.
this book made me cry , it made my heart race and got me addicted.
as a victim of abuse myself i found it a bit hard to read but i was so invested in the characters that i just felt like i would betray them if i didn't keep reading and oooooh my god i am so glad i did .
i love dillon i loved him from the moment he was introduced i have a love of arrogant, self aware asshats.
if a story doesn't have a strong female lead and she all weasley and pathetic i just cant get into it and this book did not let me down.

I am dumbfounded. When I first started this film, I was not into it. I don't know why maybe I just wasn't in the mood to watch a movie. Either way, I'm so glad I finished it because I ended up loving it. Like holy crap do I love it. It made my favorites list.

I think that it's a really interesting plot, but also the subject matter is really important. There's a lot to learn in this film and I really appreciate that. Especially given the time it came out. 1997 wasn't the most conservative time in history but it wasn't the most open either. As a queer kid, I loved every minute of this movie. There are definitely some discrepancies and things that are a bit uncomfortable, but I think that's life and that's why this movie is so good. Heck, I really liked it. Who cares what anyone else says?

WOW. I mean, wow. Amazing debut by this author and I'm SO glad to have caught this one. A story that grabs you on page one, I was literally sneaking in pages every moment I had and finished it in less than a day. I can honestly say I reached a point where everything was clear and the entire story comes together where I literally had to put the book down and rethink everything I thought I knew. Highly, highly recommended, I'll surely be back to catch more from this author!!

"Badlands, I think is one of the best love stories of all time. I think it’s beautifully shot and I think Sissy Spacek’s flawless in it. I watched that movie and — you know when your hair stands up on your body and you can’t control it? — that movie really affected me quite deeply, and I cried at the end. I based a character that I did last year in this movie called Killer Joe on Sissy Spacek in that movie. It’s a big inspiration for me. I think it’s a flawless movie."

FRICK I LOVE THIS SERIES! I think I maybe preferred The Diviners a little bit more but this one was still EXCELLENT! I'm so tempted to just launch straight into until the devil breaks you now but I'm going to give it a rest for a while but I still need more of my beloved little divining gang who I love so much. I even love Evie now! Who knew all it would take was enemies to lovers and fake dating tropes, I really am that basic! I HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS

ugh, I absolutely ADORED this! I mean when it opened with a quote from much ado I knew we were on to a winner. I am just so soft for this book I literally melted into my bed with joy approximately fifteen times while listening to it. This is truly enemies to lovers at its best and it's all I thought about today as I anticipated finishing it and now it's done I'm sure it'll be all I think about tomorrow as well. Honestly in every sense just a pure DELIGHT!

"For one, I remember seeing it on the TNT marathon for a weird American holiday — a random birthday of a president or something — and they were doing this marathon, and I watched it and I watched it again and again and again on this marathon, and I couldn’t stop watching it. From that point on, I remember I went out and got the AFI top 100 list — back before you could look it up online — and I decided I was going to watch every single movie on that list."

Wow! I had a feeling this would be good but I had no idea how good.

I loved both Zoey and Declan and this only lost that half a star for the ending, which I know the author had to leave open for the series to continue but come on! I want to kick both their arses for being so stupid at the end.

Nevertheless I really enjoyed the story and I hope good will kick manipulative arse in the next book because I really like Zoey and Declan as a couple.
