Bookapotamus (289 KP) rated Maggie Dove: A Mystery in Books

I thought it started slow and dragged a bit. But once it got going it was a great story. The end was a little to quick and forced, and I didn't relate to the Church stuff - so I could have done without it. I wish the conclusion "whodoneit" part was thought out better- it was a great concept but it all seemed forced into one page of dialogue. #RHMysteryPack #Sponsored

Enjoyable
I loved the humour in this film, I found it hilarious. The acting was great and you didn't really know what was happening!my only downfall to this film was that I had seen another film with a similar concept which was really out of this world and I found myself comparing the 2 quite often.
Definitely worth a watch, for a laugh and a bit of suspense!

I generally find thrillers slightly disappointing and somewhat predictable but I found Before I Go To Sleep an enjoyable exception.
It is a creative, innovative plot and you are really drawn into Christine's world living day by day with her.
I found the ending built in suspense spectacularly and found the novel as a whole compelling.
A good page-turner, intelligently written with a good twist at the end.

Absolutely beautiful artistic renditions throughout. Amazing soundtrack. Great story. Being from the same folks who brought us Your Name, I had very high hopes. I wasn't disappointed, but there were a couple of elements present that I didn't think added much and maybe even detracted a bit, which is why I stopped short of offering a full TEN rating. Still remains a wonderful work that should be checked out.

I love this series! And as much as I love Jace and Clary's story, I was a little bit hesitant to start a new trilogy because I wasn't sure if I would still be as invested. I have to say, I love Emma and Julian. When we first introduced to them, they were so young and I wasn't sure if there story would capture like all the precious novels. I absolutely loved this book and I can't read the next book in Emma and Julian' s story!!

This book was very interesting. I liked the concept and I found myself intrigued with the premise of the book. I did like the characters. Even though they were a little too juvenile for me I found that I could relate to them. The characters were interesting. I liked that it was a quick read. I may continue on in the series but I'm still not sure.
Ultimately, I liked the book but I will admit that I am still unsure about the ending.

I really loved this film! It was my first time watching it and I thought it was super good! I am a sucker for the 80s, especially in film so I'm not entirely surprised I loved this one but I'm super happy I did. I definitely want to finish this series and I'm excited to see where it goes!
I enjoyed the characters a lot, I think Marty is my favorite, duh. But I also really loved that they embraced the change between the '50s and the '80s. I loved that Doc talks about what it was like to be where the mall was before it was a mall and then we see it happen. I like the details like that. Same with Marty's neighborhood.
Overall, I think this film is a great watch and definitely one I'll come back to!

Im going to start this review off with an apology at the quality of it. Ive tried and tried to think of some things to say about this book but my mind is drawing a blank. I read this novel during a bit of a slump and I feel as though I just drifted through it.
I know I enjoyed it, not as much as Id hoped, but enough to not dislike it. And I know that it got very emotional and I had a bit of a cry fest at the end. But from there, Im a bit stuck How do I do this review thing again?
Characters in this one are different. You feel like you really get to know them throughout the story, but when youve finished the book you realise you didnt really know them at all. They were well developed and were talked about enough, but it was as though they were behind a screen. The characters themselves talked about how another character was hiding behind a mask, but you come to realise that all the characters were wearing masks, not just from each other, but from the reader too.
The story is a bit of a strange one and I felt it losing me in some points. It was a story about love, loss, grief and mystery. But very different to the kinds of mystery youre used to seeing on my page. This one is certainly unique, but is definitely a slow mover, so anyone looking for something fast-paced, pass this one up.
I cant work out what more to say. If you like emotional, slow moving novels in moody settings with distant characters, this book is definitely something for you. Im glad I stepped a little out of my comfort zone with this one because I did enjoy it, but its not the type of book I could read a lot.
