TravelersWife4Life (31 KP) rated I Spy a Tiger in Books
Feb 24, 2021
I Spy a Tiger by Clyde San Juan was wonderfully lyrical and filled with eye-catching detail. All the pages were covered with whimsical artwork that kids can identify and remember. I liked how the words were larger and easy to read on the pages, and that they had a lyrical sing-song quality that I really enjoyed and remembered even after I was done reading it. Plus, I loved the interactive aspect of the book and the questions back and forth on the pages (i.e., I sailed to an Island, and coming ashore…I saw the most colorful Parrot with his treasures galore!). So, as I said it is a fun book that would be a great addition to any library.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars! I highly recommend this book really enjoyed getting to read it.
*I did receive a copy in return for my honest feedback, however, I already purchased a copy for my niece! As always, the thoughts and opinions expressed within this review are my own.

I had high hopes for this book, but I really don’t think that I “got” it. As it was all written in the third person, I struggled to work out who some chapters were about until I was a good way into them. And considering the subject matter, the ballroom culture, the missing children, it was just quite uninspiring. Perhaps I’m just not the target audience for this book. Actually, I DON’T agree with this. I was really keen to read a book about Drag culture and to learn something from it, and to some degree, I did. I just wish there had been a bit more “oomph”. Even the scene with the gun barely raised a gasp from me - it was more of a “but why?” Maybe I missed the motivation. I don’t know. This book has a lot of 4 and 5 star reviews on Goodreads, which just goes to show that what doesn’t work for one person works really well for another. I’m glad I tried it though.

Wow, wow, wow! A friend of mine recommended this book to me, and I'm so glad I read it. It started out a bit slow for the first couple of chaters but then I found that I couldn't put it down!!
The book kept me guessing as there were a lot of plot twists. I also loved all the characters =)
And it's a zombie book, so what else could you want!?!
Definitely give this one a read!!

Amanda (30 KP) rated Successful Coaching in Books
Jun 21, 2018
This was a very helpful textbook that I used for a coaching class to get a certification in coaching from the American Sport Education Program. A lot of the information was common sense, but there was some information that I found to be interesting. I enjoyed being able to discuss this with the class. I strongly recommend this if you are clueless about coaching a sport, otherwise I'm not sure how much you would really benefit from it.

I didn't enjoy this quite as much as Ian's story. Ian had a sort of cocky inner voice and a way of coming across that I really loved. No offense to our hot geek but I didn't get as good a vibe from him. But then again this being written in dual POV made their relationship growth a lot easier to follow.
I did enjoy this a lot though and look forward to reading more books by the author.

Fast Paced Dragon Shifter
This is the first book I have read by Chloe Cole. It's been sitting on my kindle for quite some time so when I was looking for a good paranormal shifter book, I figured this one would do. I wasn't expecting much but I have to say I was impressed.
Chloe Cole was able to create a world that kept me entertained. I enjoyed the characters and the plot line was fun. I was a little nervous with the title Coercion but I was happy to see that this didn't turn into a darker story. The plot moved steadily and the characters experienced an instant love type story. At times, I found myself annoyed but all in all I did enjoy the plot. I do wish that we saw more growth in the characters though.
Ultimately, it kept me entertained and it was a nice, quick read. I would give it 3 1/2 stars so I'm giving it 4 because I always round up.

4.5 stars.
Well, what can I say other than I really enjoyed this. I was definitely thinking it was going to be a possible five star read. And it might have been…but I didn’t cry. I know, stupid reason. But if I cry over characters it means they’ve dug under my skin and made me care about them. Strangely this didn’t, despite me rooting for them from pretty much the first chapter. Nevertheless I really liked it. If I could have, I would probably have read this in one sitting, I was that into it.
I loved the characters, pretty much all of them, apart from Nate’s dad—and maybe his mum too. Oh and a certain friend that I will not name as it might spoilt the story.
If you like contemporary romances with a girl who doesn’t have a filter and a guy who always wants to win then this will be right up your street.
P.S. I haven’t read the first book in this series but I wouldn’t mind doing now!
