The Marinated Meeple (1853 KP) created a post

I found a new piece of art that is just amazing and I felt like I had to share it with you all. Orlando Arocena created a Day of the Dead inspired star wars piece. It's both lovely and amazing... enjoy!

A classic that I never really liked or could get into. I generally like historical novels, especially if they have a bit of romance in them. Yet, this book was so tedious and boring that I could not get into it.

The Bank holiday classic. I didn't watch it for ages but once I did I found it was a pretty good story loosely based on a true story of P.O.W.s escaping from their prison camp during the second world war.

Easy and enjoyable read
Very creative 24 hour read. I believe the book was aimed for the younger population, but, as an adult, I really enjoyed it. It was a quick read that I couldn't put down. Give it a shot :)

I received this book through a First Reads contest. I liked this book even though it took me some time to get into and there were a lot of things that happened that I wasn't expecting. But overall it was good.

What a fun and cute movie. Honestly, I have to be honest, I think that the thing that made this movie work was the casting. The cast did a phenomenal job with this film and I would absolutely watch it again!

"Since I picked a movie that’s not one of mine, let me pick one of mine for my second choice. There’s this movie called Parasite. [laughs] A lot of people seem to like that movie; I think I agree with them."

"My all-time favourite book is A Child Called It. I love that book. It was so interesting and I just really, really got into it and I literally couldn’t put the book down. And it’s just a really sad story."

"After I saw this film when I was a kid, I went hang-gliding with my next door neighbor and we crashed into an abandoned missile silo. My neighbor lost his right leg. This movie was a big influence on that."
