I watched Sophie Hannah recently on Written in Blood, then I came across this book so I decided to give it a go! It took me a few chapters to really get into but once I was hooked I couldn't put it down because I was so intrigued about where the story was going. Overall I really enjoyed the read and I'll be keeping an eye out for more from this author in the future.

New favorite!
I watched the movie before I read this book. And I am so glad I did! I still love the movie but the book is 1000x better.
For his first novel, I was beyond impressed. Cline has a way to make you connect with the characters on a personal level, even with them living in an entirely different world. I just couldn’t put it down. Definitely my new favorite go to book!

I was not even able to finish this book. Peter Straub cowrites with one of my favorite authors so I figured it was only right that I give one of his books a try. The book turned out to be very dry and boring. I did manage to make it to the halfway point in the book before I gave up, so I feel confident in saying that I did give it a fair shot.

Ooooh...I think this is the best book in the series! Somehow I think I've said that before, but I guess I didn't mean it until now. Wow! I literally read this book in about 10 hours of on & off reading. I just couldn't put it down.
Stephanie is back to being a bounty hunter. Grandma joins Sally Sweet's band for a brief run. Lula starts hooking up with Tank (a match made in heaven since Tank doesn't talk & Lula can't shut up!!!) A Ranger impersonator out to take over Ranger's life. A kidnapping, bombs, robberies, the list goes on. Nonstop action from beginning to end.

Terrible
It's not very often that I consider walking out of a movie. It's only happened on a handful of occasions and I usually try and stick it out, just in case I miss some huge U-turn which turns the movie from a 2 out of 10 to an 8 or a 9. The Witch was a movie I found myself hating early on. I stuck with it, hoping for that U-turn, but it never came. What people saw in this I'll never understand. But then I liked 'Blair Witch', so maybe it's me!

A difficult read to get into. While I enjoy a good plot/mystery with erotica, I felt I had trouble staying focused on this novel. It was easy for me to put it down and step away and not be hounded by the usual “what happens next?” As whole, it was an enjoyable read even if it was a bit hard to follow. The characters were interesting to say the least and the erotic scenes were decent. Following a pretty graphic erotic novel, the scenes in this story seemed tame. I think I was just hoping for something…more raunchy?

A revisit from my childhood
I haven't read this book since a child, and I can safely say that I think I may have even enjoyed it more the second time around.

An easy to read but enchanting story about another world, lovable characters, and a very compelling read.

I would definitely recommend this to any child, and to any adult who read it as a child and even those who didn't. Whether or not this is your normal style of book, I think that this is a book that everyone should experience at least once in their lifetime 😊

What at first appears to be a normal job for professional burglar Junior Bender leaves him blackmailed into helping a mobster. But what that mobster wants to do is even more surprising - and dangerous.

I found the characters very real, engaging, and enjoyable. Unfortunately, I found the plot uneven and the foul language a bit more than I can tolerate. Then again, this isn't my normal choice for reading material, so it's on me. I'm glad I tried it because I was curious about the series, but I won't read any more.

First things first... I love Sarah Andersen. She has a wonderful way of showing what anxiety, depression, and introversion is. It's completely refreshing to find a graphic novel with a character that I relate to so deeply.

Herding Cats is hilarious, and relatable. I spent my time reading this and laughing. I related so much to these cartoons I thought for a second that Sarah Andersen was stalking me and based her story off of me. It was that scarily accurate.

All in all, this is a book that most people will be able to relate to and love.

A fun book about a generally taboo subject
I first came across Caitlin Doughty when her YouTube channel 'Ask A Mortician' came up on suggestions. I loved how she was able to talk about such a typically taboo and awkward subject in such an engaging way, and when I found out about her books I knew I had to read them. She writes as she speaks, which means these books often take a light hearted approach, which can make the subject matter easier to deal with. I highly recommend this book to anyone who isn't afraid to step outside the norm :)
