I heard it said that the director had wanted to make a BioShock film, was rejected, and made this instead. I believe it. After seeing this I had such a BioShock feel about it and apparently my feelings are well founded. This film is fantastically dark and weird with a perfect setting and aesthetic. It's a bit on the longer side, but if that doesn't bother you then I highly recommend it.

"This is a song that mixes humor and sadness beautifully. My wife and I went to see Jason in Red Bank, NJ at the Count Basie Theatre a couple years ago and this was a song I wasn’t familiar with a the time but it immediately registered with us both. I went home and found the record it was on and I think it’s a heartbreaking song with a little bit of laughter to ease the blow. It will also make you think twice about covering Hendrix… you never know who’s watching."

For me this started off a little slow and I didn't really have any feelings regarding Kyle when he died. In fact the first time I cried in this was when Colton was talking about India. Then I bawled like a baby at the end because that was kinda heart-breaking.

They go through a lot of sh*t in this story, as the characters do in New Adult books, but I did like the main characters a lot, they were good people who had had a hard life and deserved a happy ending.

It was a cute story but lacked a lot for me...I felt like they rushed into the relationship and the pet names annoyed me but overall I enjoyed the story.

A step (or two) above the majority of current lesbian fiction out there. Captivating, funny, and amazingly genuine story -- I read it in a day as I couldn't put it down.

Was this movie flawed? Definitely. Was it a lot of fun regardless? Most definitely! I honestly can’t remember the last time I left a movie feeling so happy, go see it!

I'm a sucker for a sweet romance and this was that. I loved these guys and the plot. I will definitely keep my eyes open for more books by the author :)

"In The Grapes of Wrath, every other chapter is a description, a metaphor, prose poetry, it’s not plot…I subconsciously borrowed that structure from Steinbeck when I wrote The Martian Chronicles."
