Eternal Love is the second book in the Eternal Soul series by Karimah Colden. We follow the story of Reign, who recently found out she has some magic powers.

The first book, Eternal Soul, focused on Reign finding herself in this new world, with the new powers she has. It was also an adventure of staying out of danger while also protecting her friends.

Eternal Love continues in the same spirit. Reign is living a normal life, until one day, her neighbour is killed and it seems that Reign was the actual target.

<b><i>I cannot say I enjoyed this book!</i></b>

Reign didn't develop or grow as a character throughout the book. Her powers didn't become stronger and she made some questionable decisions. Sometimes, she didn't make any decisions at all. Torn between two men, one-sided friendships and bad life priorities were a few things that bothered me.

<b><i>"You carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. You can't let the shortcomings that are guaranteed to happen drag you down too. If you did that, you'd never be able to stand."</i></b>

The writing was very inconsistent. Sometimes, I would encounter beautiful paragraphs. Furthermore, I also noticed so many grammar and spelling errors that really annoyed me. On top of this, I could also see a lot of spacing between sentences, as if someone pressed the space button too many times before they continued writing.          Like this.       And it annoyed me a lot.     I am sorry.

<b><i>"We are not the sins of our parents, we are each of our own mind and soul."</i></b>

The ending of Eternal Love didn't have any conclusion of closure to it, apart from solving the mystery behind Reign's family past. Throughout the whole book, Reign is torn between two potential love interests, and we don't get a conclusion to this either. It seems like the ending was a preparation for yet another book.

Eternal Love felt vert unprepared, not edited properly (or at all) and definitely unfinished. I didn't enjoy it and I cannot recommend it to you. I don't think I will be continuing the series, however I will still keep an eye on future releases from the author.

Pretty entertaining
I'm not a fan of Danny McBride but I kept seeing the trailer for this show, so figured I'd give it a try. I have to be honest & say that I watched it whilst working from home, so my attention wasn't 100% but I think this may have been for the best.

This was surprisingly a fairly entertaining show. I was expecting a lot of crude or ridiculously stupid humour, but in fact I found a lot of the humour to be fairly understated and dark in parts, which I definitely preferred. This didn't have as much humour in as I expected, there was a much more serious plot and even some heartwarming emotion mixed in with all the dark humour. The cast was good overall, there are some great actors in this and I didnt even mind Danny McBride for a change. The story was wacky and fun, even if maybe slightly predictable in parts.

My biggest issue is that it didnt blow me away. It was good, entertaining but it was ultimately a show that I could give or take another series. If I happened to have nothing better to watch then a second series wouldn't be bad, but I wouldnt go out of my way to recommend this as an absolute must see show.

This is the first book I have listened to/read by Amy Sheppard and, overall, I wasn't disappointed.

The story centres around a group of friends on a camping holiday to celebrate one of the groups daughters 18th birthday. It becomes pretty clear early on that the group is full of secrets and angst that ends up having deadly consequences.

The narrator did a great job but due to the amount of characters with each chapter being from a different point of view, I did find it difficult to keep track of which character I was with. You wouldn't have this problem with a physical book but dipping in and out of an audiobook (as I tend to do), made this a tad confusing and did reduce my enjoyment just a little but not by much.

The characters were an interesting and eclectic bunch most of which I found not particularly likeable so didn't have a lot of sympathy with what befell them but I loved the twists and turns that I didn't see coming which kept me listening intently until the whole story was revealed.

Overall, a good audiobook but I think I would have enjoyed it more had I read the physical book but I must thank Bookouture Audio and NetGalley for enabling me to listen to and share my thoughts of The Last Holiday.

WALL SEX. FINALLY.
Contains spoilers, click to show
As you can see from my title, I was most excited about the wall sex we've been promised for two books. However, there were other things in this book that I loved so, so much.

First of all - RHYSIE!!! They used that name!! Canonically!! My bb High Lord was amazing as always. And the way Maas explained what Feyre was going through was positively poetic at times. It was so good.

Bryaxis??? Is still lost?? And if you don't find that hilarious, you are incredibly disappointing.

And my Illyrian Babies!! These are 500-year-old fae males, and they have annual snowball fights. If you don't think that's the most adorable thing ever, then you are also incredibly disappointing. The bois were a big mood throughout the entire book, and I loved it so, so, so much.

My sweetheart Mor deserves none of this shit btw. THREE SPIKES. EXCUSE MOI?? This isn't allowed; I almost cried.

Nesta's PTSD was well-written, as well as the tension between her and Cass. Also, the I don't want Cassian to know I'm reading Smut face is also my favorite face.

And, of course, smut. It was well-written, as usual, but I feel it could have been better. And longer.

Thank you for listening to me freak out about my children like there's no tomorrow.
PS I might add more in the comments, so stay tuned.

It was a great book, some connections I couldn't make...but a page turner for sure.

Not a bad book. A lot of tree nuts (which I cannot have)...but otherwise, ok.

A fun and fast read. As a longtime Castle fan, I loved the little inside references!
