This was my first viewing of this film, so I don't have a nostalgia bias. But I definitely enjoyed this quirky film and I think it did a good job.

I love love love mercy.....this series is more tame then a lot I read but I love it so much.the author is amazing...I felt like I was watching the entire story as a movie in my head. I love that everything wasn't easy and they weren't proclaiming their undying love at the end lol. I love the twists and turns in the plot. amazing start to a series!

At first I really like this book and really got into it but as I progressed I became a bit bored with it. I like how the LGBT element was incorporated into the book and I liked the characters but I feel like they could've had a bit more depth to them. I wasn't a huge fan of the writing style so this book was not for me.

I don't have a tremendous amount to say about this book. I liked the characters a lot, I liked the tension and the curiosity of what would happen, I liked the story. I didn't love it, I don't have a lot of criticism about it. It's a like-able book. It doesn't merit my re-read shelf, but I enjoyed the story. I wasn't satisfied with the ending, but it did keep me thinking for days. All in all, 3 stars for enjoyment but for not being everything I like in a book.

Well, I have finally read a Chuck Palahniuk book and I definitely enjoyed it.
I really enjoyed the movie so naturally I decided to read the book. I wish that I would have read the book first though. I would have loved to experience the twist as a reader and not just a film watcher.
The characters are very interesting and the writing was solid. This isn't my normal type of book but I did enjoy it. Chuck Palahniuk has a way of messing with your head and it shows in this book. It was a fun psychological thriller and I look forward to reading more of his novels.

Into the first few chapters I knew that I was certainly enjoying and liking this book and then when I was a few more chapters in a realized that I loved the story. Well written story full of struggles and tribulations with just a right amount of romance. The characters were beautifully developed and I was moved by the story line. This is a book that I will soon be sharing with my teenage daughter.

I enjoyed this a lot more than i expected
Initially, it took a little getting into with its slow start but once it kicked into gear I was hooked. It had everything I love in a book. Some action, some romance, a bit of attitude from the female lead... I'm really surprised by how much I enjoyed it after several failed YA Paranormal reads before this.
I cannot wait for book 2!

Clever but a bit weird
I have been wanting to read this book for a long time and thought I would fit it in as a quick filler while I have essays to write. I had great expectations for the novel and whilst my expectations were met, I wasn't overwhelmed. I guess like 1984, the time in which the novel was written makes the work a classic. Its a simple read and cleverly structured. Using animals make the book simpler and perhaps easier to carry a political message without getting too messy. All in all, I'm not blown away but I did enjoy it.
