This is a dark tale of kidnap and torture that starts with the victim's escape but goes on to build into a disturbing thriller.

I liked the darkness but the story style wasn't for me. Too often we had cliff-hanger endings to characters POV "chapters" for them to take too long resolve I felt strung along.

If you enjoy a dark thriller give this ago.

Thanks to NetGalley the author and published for the ARC

ARC That drew me in from start to finish
Mister North has delivered once again! Just as expected, he took me on a grim adventure with many twists and turns. You can never quite figure out where it's going next and never see the final plot twist coming. I also loved the little reference to Whisper man, I like a good easter egg. I can not wait for Alex North's next book. I devour them from cover to cover.

Third solo entry/story arc in Marvel's new Daert Vader line of stories, which see's Vader returning to the planet of Shu-torun, where he had previously installed a puppet ruler, to deal with a rebellion (small r) on that planet - a rebellion that has nothing at all to do with the Rebellion (capital R).

Having read this, it almost seems like the planet itself is more-or-less a stand in for Mustafar, complete with boiling lakes of lava and a character falling into such (sound familar at all?). Vader also seemingly has completely forgotten about the news Boba Fett brought him previously re. Luke Skywalker, as there's not a single mention of him at all in these pages. There's also nothing like the panels in Vader down, where he single-handedly takes on an entire platoon (and wins).

In short, the story-arc itself is a little forgettable, with no real connection to the films, and with no panels showing just why Vader is so feared.

What a perfect series beginning full of paranormal creatures with the right amount of love, magic and utter devastation! Fast paced and the characters are really enjoyable. The author quickly pulled me in and kept me till the end and I am looking forward to the continuing story.

A rollicking "Ocean's 11" style caper with the likable Lando at it's lead. What's not to like? Great characterization and matching art. This has been the most solid of the Star Wars mini series Marvel has launched since the Disney acquisition. (At least that I've read so far.) I understand it was trimmed down from a planned 8 or 10 issue arc to 5, and that's a same, because the finale does feel a bit truncated, but still well worth your time!

This book is beautifully written. It is full of short stories about a girl in a large family on big ol farm in Pennsylvania. It is also about her love of cats and kittens, and the many animals that came and went on the farm. Most of the stories are sad, but have beautiful illustrations. But overall I really enjoyed reading this book.
I received an ARC copy of this book from #NetGalley and I am leaving a voluntary, honest review.

this is one of my favourite authors, I was really excited to receive this ARC. the author is brilliant at giving you complexed characters in a fantastic story line. the story enfolds beautifully and leaves you wanting more, roll on book 2. this book has a cliff hanger ending which will defiantly keep you wanting more. I love how there are still lots of secrets to unfolds in the next books.

ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I would be a liar if I said I didn’t have a soft spot for firefighters. As cliche as it sounds, it’s a trope I typically enjoy. Her Sexy Challenge did not disappoint. Humourous, hot, and a couple with tons of chemistry, this novel as an enjoyable read the contemporary romance lovers won’t want to pass up. A well rounded novel, I am already looking forward to more from this series.

We Worship God by Nancy Streza is a beautiful book for preschool and elementary school aged children. The illustrations are wonderful and really add to the message.  This is a very nice approach to the ABC's. It is rooted in the Bible and in the qualities that Jesus portrays. Each page covers a letter to the alphabet. This story not only teaches the alphabet but also about Jesus.

I received this ARC from NetGalley and Xist Publishing in exchange for an honest review.

Objectively, I feel the book deserves 4 stars, but gr ratings are supposed to be based on your enjoyment, which was a 1 or 2 for me.

I’ve read other books featuring mental illness, the aftermath of atomic bombs, self harm, abuse. I don’t know why I felt so repulsed by this one, but I did. It isn’t a bad book-it’s very good actually, but I hated it.

This was an ARC I received in a giveaway. (Not via goodreads)
