"And Labyrinth. Labyrinth was sort of the same… Loved Labyrinth. I watched it again recently and had a total adult crush on David Bowie. I used to just think he was cool, and now I’m like, “Oh my God, he’s so hot in that movie.” So 80s and glam rock. And I think both of those movies are sort of, really so fancy, but there was something… I don’t know. To me, I didn’t feel like I was suspending reality. It just was like, “That’s the world this movie exists in, and I want to be in it,” you know what I mean? I just love both of those movies."

"Then I’m gonna go with the Holy Grail. I think these movies always get pushed aside as being silly and yes, they are silly, which is one of the intents of the movies. It was just, as a child, and as I grew up and watched them as an adult, they were one of the reasons why I was like, “Oh, you don’t have to think the way that everybody thinks” — these guys just did whatever they wanted to do, and their imaginations ran wild. They were always a huge inspiration, and so that movie was such a great capsule of that. And so funny. So good."

Mills & Boon meets fantasy and VAMPIRES!
As a fan of reading the short Mills & Boon books as a divider between larger more intense novels, I was pleasantly surprised with this one. This was Mills and Boon meets fantasy and vampires, a brilliant page turner, demolished in just over an hour.
Not reading the previous stories in the Valorian Chronicles, I was not familiar with the characters but this did not effect the enjoyment of book.
If you like fantasy and mass market paperback romance, you will certainly enjoy this. Be aware that the adult scenes are not your standard "cute" romance.

I forgot how bad this movie's CGI is. I think it's super funny to watch now, as an adult, because you can see how a kid was so easily mesmerized by this film. I definitely think this is a must-see for kids, especially kids now to show them what we watched when we were kids - I'm sure I'll show it to mine someday. I'm not unhappy that I watched this film and I'm definitely watching the second one. The only thing that really made me angry in this film is that Odie doesn't talk but literally every other animal does? That doesn't make sense.
