Can't get much more 80's than this!
In my experience, few films have had such a different range of reviews by gender than this film. Most women I know utterly hate everything about this goofy 80s campfest starring Kurt Russell at his best while men seem to eat up all the cheesy one liners and mediocre story and visual effects.

I watch this movie a lot when I was a teenager. When revisiting it as an adult, I can see why some people can't get into it as it does look dated now, but it will always be a guilty pleasure for me.

What a perfect blend of comedy, action, romance, sci-fi and fantasy all rolled into one.

This was a really fun read. I have been wanting to read this book for quite some time but I never found the time. I finally decided to buy the audiobook and boy was I impressed. Neil Gaiman reads the book to you and it was quite a lot of fun.

I always worry when I have the author reading the audiobook. It's either going to be amazing or torturous. Neil did a great job at doing the voices and helping you imagine what each character would sound like.

The plot was cute and sweet. I loved the adult fairy tale aspect of it. I loved the characters and I loved the unique aspects in the book.

If you're looking for a fun read, this is it.

This is the very first Melissa Marr's book I have read and it will not be my last. I've always have had an obsession with Faeries but I don't normally read books that feature the fae. I always fear that they wouldn't live up to my expectations. Luckily, my best friend and a bunch of booksellers convinced me to read this book.

The characters were unique, and just downright lovely. The plot was fun and kept me guessing. I loved the twists and turns that were present too. This is a young adult novel but I didn't feel like I was too old for it. It was refreshing.

If you're looking for a great Faery book, look no further! This book is great!

That was fast... I remember being terrified of this book when I read it as a kid lol reading it as an adult sure changes perspective on a book.

I read it like I was watching a Goosebumps show - same vibe and everything I could picture it all playing out in my head, it was very different reading it like that. It was still creepy in a way, it was very fun nostalgia wise to read it. It was super quick and fun. Not at all scary like it was when I was a child reading it for the firs time and hiding it from view so I wouldn't have to look at the dummy face every time I looked at my book shelf.

A good action adult film
Polar
This is definitely not for the faint of heart. This is a brutal but fantastic film. You just can’t turn away.

If you're not a fan of gratuitous, over-the-top violence, lengthy sex scenes, and gory detail, stay away from this movie.

If such things don't bother you, or you see such things as essential in a good action movie, Polar is the film for you! Evocative of Tarantino, Charlie's Angel's, and any number of violent, Hitman-style films, Polar earns its place among the classics, with gusto.

An aging hitman on the verge of retirement, our protagonist finds himself hunted by his former employers, they get more than they bargain for.

Honey Boy (2019)
Honey Boy (2019)
2019 | Biography, Drama
Disclaimer: I'm a huge Shia fan, and I couldn't wait to see this.

Honey Boy is a fictionalized (?) account, written by Shia LeBeouf about his father, and substance issues. The film bounces back and forth between Otis (Shia) as a child, then as an adult in a rehabilitation facility. It always makes for an interesting film, IF it's well done. In this case, it worked. Shia plays his own father (or a fictionalized version), and it was a great performance. I can imagine playing his father was a cathartic experience.

It's also worth mention FKA Twigs, who played a minor character. While she wasn't in it much, I thought she did well, and I wouldn't mind seeing her in more films.

The first volume of Snow White with the Red Hair was just okay. It wasn't awful, but it didn't exactly pull me in. It started getting slightly more interesting around halfway through the book. It had a few cute moments, but it seemed like it should have almost been a series targeted for the junior reading age group. However, the subject matter is geared toward the young adult audience. It's just one of those odd stories that hangs in limbo between reading audiences. Also, being a retelling of a classic tale, I must say that it only seemed that way for the first handful of pages, at most. Then it was like every other manga series with the theme that it follows.

Family Breaking Hilarity
This is honestly one of the best ideas for a game I have ever seen, it is a game that is easy for casuals to play, its competitive or just fun. You can play this with anyone and not change your opinion of them. I have played this with so many different people and groups and every game is different, every game is fun and it honestly does alot to breaking the ice when a serious conversation is needed. Those with social anxiety would do well to look into this game, it puts everyone on a level playing field with the disgusting things your going to say
