Synopsis:

I'm reading this a part of a buddy read! I find the concept very intriguing.
I am only 50 pages in and I'm loving it.
While I have one issue with this book so far I am hoping it works its self out the further I get into it.
We shall see!

I shain't think to make anyone suffer the presence of Mr. Hyde let alone my friend Dr. Jekyll. Although, not a direct quote, I can clearly hear Mr. Utterson saying this phrase.
Remember: this book was made in the 1800s and set in London words don't always mean what you think they do. My edition (1994) uses a word or two that could get someone expelled if they say it in schools today.
Had I not read this before as a preteen/teen I don't think I would have enjoyed this book as much. I think that this book is great for ages 10-15 (not that adults couldn't enjoy it). As a pre/teen it invoked deep thought; as an adult I think... it's a nice story. Still, I am quite impressed in a book (of less than 100 pages not withstanding) that was written in six days.

Based on the true story of comedy and rap pioneer rudy ray moore,this is a delightful film that should launch eddie murphy back into the big time.

Murphy plays Moore,an entertainer desperately seeking that one break through moment that will lead to him becoming famous.That break eventually comes to him in the form of his outlandish and adult only records and stand up routine to the making and eventually success of his dolemite movie.

Murphy is at his very best here,delivering the hilarity and warmth of moore but also letting his other co-stars shine around him as well.A special mention has to go to wesley snipes as well who is hilarious as the co star and director of the dolemite movie who is always drunk off his ass and prone to the occasional temper tantrum.

Fly Dumbo Fly

Rewatching this classic animation movies now as a adult, its so great and wonderful and gives a whole new perception on this classic animation films that you wouldnt as a child. Dumbo being one of them.

The Plot: A young circus elephant is born with comically large ears and given the cruel nickname Dumbo. One day at a show, he is taunted by a group of kids, inciting his mother into a rage that gets her locked up. After Dumbo's ears cause an accident that injures many of the other elephants, he is made to dress like a clown and perform dangerous stunts. Everything changes when Dumbo discovers that his enormous ears actually allow him to fly, and he astounds everyone at the circus with his new talent.

Seeing Dumbo finally fly for the first time, made me cry. It was such a great moment.

A classic.

Catchy, heartfelt, and whimsical... suck it Disney!

Tulio and Muigel are a couple of con artists who need to make a hasty escape. Some shenanigans insue, and the pair find themselves far away from home, looking for the fabled city of gold, So Dorado.
They are mistaken for Aztec gods and must keep up their farce in order to leave with some gold, and their heads.
It comments on the way some cultures are explored by explorers and in its subtle way, teaches us to open out minds and eyes to the ways of others.
A beautiful tale of fun and friendship, the humour is great for kids, with some adult jokes in there to keep the parents entertained too.
One of DreamWorks great animated films, it is a must for all ages.
