Ross (3284 KP) rated Stranger Things - Season 1 in TV
Sep 5, 2017
I really enjoyed it but I had higher expectations, having heard all the excitement.
At times it did feel like an 80s adventure movie, from whence it was inspired, but at other times fell a bit flat.
I would have liked to have seen the underneath explored a bit more, but I am very glad it wasn't explained in too much detail.

GameCritics (290 KP) rated West Of Loathing in Video Games

West of Loathing elicits this powerful emotional connection with stick figures. It bonds you to its world with nothing more than doodling and dialogue. There’s a pretty good turn-based adventure game there

Erika (17789 KP) rated The Rocketeer (1991) in Movies
Aug 11, 2017
This movie is severely underrated. It's based on a comic by the same name, which is also amazing. It's a period piece set in the 1940s and has a pulp quality to it. It's a fun adventure movie, and it still holds up after all this time. This movie definitely does not need to be remade, and I hope it's not.
Ruth Frampton (577 KP) rated A Message for Grandma in Books
Apr 10, 2018
A great story about a little girl's adventure across her families farms to take a message in German for her grandma, she keeps up with her responsibility despite many adventures and possible distractions. A wonderful ending for the young serves to highlight how the language of love can be universal despite generational gaps and reluctance to learn the “old tongue”.
Heathski (173 KP) rated Robin Hood (2018) in Movies

Very enjoyable
This is similar to the King Arthur movie with Charlie Hunnam. Urban street meets classic legend. It was fun and action packed adventure with the right amount of rogueish antics. Again my only issue was with the villain of the story, who just seemed too weak. Overall, it was well made and enjoyable. Id watch it again
CarolCorps1592 (21 KP) rated Angela: Asgard's Assassin, Volume 1: Priceless in Books
Feb 5, 2019
This comic is beautiful. The art, the story, everything. It's a perfect comic for anyone who doesn't know anything about Angela. Throughout the story line there are flashbacks and narratives that clarify anything you may not know and has an interesting ending that leads up to another adventure rather than just being an ending. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Auburn (57 KP) rated Cursed! My Devastatingly Brilliant Campaign to Save the Chigg in Books
Apr 10, 2019
I won a copy through a Goodreads giveaway. I read the synopsis and thought I would enjoy it. while it was definitely and adventure and gave you good feelings. the message that true friendship is worth it and when you work together you can accomplish anything is truly wonderful for younger readers. it just didn't seem complete and some parts jumbled for me.
