[Johnny Graphic and the Etheric Bomb] by [D.R. Martin] was an incredible adventure. In the classic sense of serial adventures from the 1940's the young cub photographer, who happens to see ghosts and is 12 yrs old, has to save the world from a horrible new bomb. Along with his sister, Melanie and other friends, they travel the world to solve the mystery and stop destruction.

As a teacher who just spent the past three weeks teaching about the making of the atomic bomb this book seemed to parallel that with a 'ghostly' twist. (I know bad pun.) I will be looking forward to reading book two. Also did I mention besides ghosts there are zombies. Highly recommended.

I picked up [A New Death] by [Josh Vasquez] from the E. Shaver bookstore in historic Savannah. The fact that is was a local author and zombies appealed to me. I was not disappointed. As a resident of Savannah I can tell you the [Vasquez] makes the setting very real. I have think of the book each time I walk into my local grocery store knowing that is where the zombies first attack the main character.

As for the characters, they are very much like real people. That makes the story even more compelling since you can develop an attachment to them. If you like action, adventure, and/or zombies, this is a must read.

An Updated Adventure
I remember playing the original Ratchet and Clank game on PS1 as a kid and I liked it at the time, but I never followed the series and I actually haven't played a Ratchet game since, so to return to the game 20 years later in glorious high definition is a treat. The new game is essentially a remake of the original and it is just as fun as I remember it being the first time. The new weapons are cool, the visuals are breath-taking and the voice acting is good too. If you have young children or just want to relive your own childhood, this is definitely recommended.

"I have been seeing Caraval featured on so many blogs and instagram accounts, I couldn't just not read it. I've read, “A MUST READ”, so many times; I knew I had to get my hands on it...

And I loved it! LOVE, LOVES, LOVED IT!

It was everything a book should be: fun, diverse characters; steady plot; twist and turns (let me tell you, there were so many twists- I got dizzy); romance; suspense; adventure! I read this book in one sitting; only stopping to use the bathroom once and another time to grab a quick snack (a handful of pink Starbursts). It was that good." Frank W. Abagnale tells his amazing story. He was a genius, though a criminal. That is why it took him so long to get caught (and stay caught).

I'm not going to summarize the story, because it takes away from the trill. Basically, Frank decides to leave his former life and "live it up." But of course he does it by forging checks and faking identities.

In today's modern technological world, his process wouldn't work. However, it was amazing to see Frank learn and use the system to his advantage.

I recommend this book to ages 14+ to anyone who wants a good non-fiction adventure. There is some sex but it's not explicit.

What a strange tale
I guess kind of a combination of Weekend at Bernie's, Heavenly Creatures and Castaway, Swiss Army Man tells the take of a desperate man at the end of his rope until a new friend washes up on shore. The two become acquainted quickly and decide to have an adventure together.

This film falls right into my favorite genre of weird and vague, so I really enjoyed it. You have never seen anything like this film and it is entertaining throughout.

Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe make a great screen couple and you really enjoy watching them together.

Still not sure how I feel about the ending though.

Surprising
I was pleasantly surprised by this one. The acting was good with interesting characters. The cinematography, imagery, effects were all very well done. The story unfolded ok but had a lot of very predictable parts. This was a "Steam Punk" future world with a lot of cool stuff in it but had just a bit of a "Star Wars-esque" feel to it. Not in a bad way, though. But the story, simplified, was that someone opened Pandora's box and the heroes had to shut it down. Anyway, if you enjoy a good sci-fi/action/adventure tale with just a smidge of love story thrown in, you'll really enjoy this movie. Worth a watch!

13 is a number that can be both good or bad for someone. For Aria it tends to bring out her powers. Yup powers... See she is actually magical and doesn't know it until two hot guys show up and show her the way. You may be wondering, but no this isn't a 2 guys 1 girl story. Sure a love triangle is inevitable but it does get resolved.

In that time we get an adventure, magic, romance, and plots upon plots. One can never know till the end who is on which side and where to put your trust.

Truly this was a well written and inviting story with all the fantasy elements one could want.

It's the end, but the moment has been prepared for. Avengers: Endgame (2019) Review
“Avengers: Endgame” does everything it needed to do, and then some. It does some of the things you expected it to do, but perhaps not in quite the way you expected. You may be expecting an action-packed adventure across time and space as the heroes desperately seek redemption after their first real defeat but what you may not be expecting is how much of a character-driven victory lap the Russos and writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have managed to weave organically into the story to propel us to the MCU’s most potent and emotive finale to date...

I read this to my 8 and 7 yr old girls and they loved it. We didnt have to read the first two to understand this one. They loved how scary and yet not scary it was. They are asking me to read the rest of the series with them. The characters didn't scare them enough to cause issues with them but scared them enough to talk about how books aren't real. lol They also loved the adventure in the story and the characters were very fun. We will recommend this author to our friends with kids. So glad the author allowed us to read it for review.
