Aesthetics 101
I never saw the original. The way this film is paced, as well as the extraordinary use of color makes it a perfect thing to study for aesthetics of film. The story makes it enjoyable, as well.

The Substance of Style is a fantastic look at how aesthetics and style has changed and shifted out culture in the past century. It's a wonderful and in-depth look at just how much our current civilization relies on it. A truly great book to read and very insightful.

Super fast console that performs well
Aesthetics of this console are great, as it doesn't look body and old fashioned like the X-Box, with a slim and futuristic exterior. When playing AAA games, the console runs super smooth and sharp displaying amazing graphics with minimal effort. My only problem is the internet system, as it is very slow and buggy

Great two player game
My wife and I love this game. The rulebook is simple, the options on you turn arent overwhelming, and the theme seems appropriate to the mechanics.
Play time per session is about 30 minutes including setup and tear down. We also upgraded this game with real buttons from the boardgamegeek.com marketplace, which adds better aesthetics over cardboard.
My wife has no complaints about the game, but I dont like that some pieces dont perfectly interlock with eachother.

A True Classic
I have always loved Puerto Rico. I love Euro games and this was one of the first ones I really saw the beauty in. The mechanics and the flow of the game are intricate and intertwined. There are so many pathways to victory and always the option of altering you path if things do not go your way. The rules are easy to explain and once a couple of rounds have passed more new players pick everything up quickly.
On the downside, the game looks a little bland and unappealing compared to so many of the new games coming out these days. There is a very nice 10th Anniversary Limited Edition and a Deluxe edition that reworks the art and adds metal doubloons and other enhanced pieces. So is aesthetics are your issue, you should totally pick up a copy of that, and you can send me one while you are at it. ?

Can't stop thinking about this one, that kind of film that sneaks up on you ever so carefully when you're watching it - then delivering a mighty wallop directly afterwards, when you least expect it. Sinks its grasp into you slowly, hypnotically, until eventually revealing and digging its claws in deep during that wild last thirty minutes. Uncompromisingly steamy - a sultry fusion of murder mystery, softcore porn, and perfume commercial aesthetics. In other words, pretty fucking awesome. The robust acting that Charlotte Rampling and Ludivine Sagnier give to these two fully-formed characterizations lay claim to every ounce of your attention - impossible to miss a single detail. Sort of wish we knew more about a couple of the characters but it may not have even been a necessity when writing *this* cautious leaves the viewer in a constant state of questioning, wondering just where the hell it's going to go every step of the way. At first I was let down by its infamously ambiguous ending, but no sooner afterwards did I love it. Sun-soaked, quiet depravity that contains its pressure for an eventual explosion.
