The usual periodic melodrama

I struggled to get into this. There were moments where I understood why Jane Austen was hailed for addressing inequality between the sexes but it ended up being the usual story about love affairs in the middle and upper classes.

Strange film!

I decided to watch this film as the overall concept seemed ironic considering the current state of affairs here in England.
It has some gory moments but isn't a scary horror film
I enjoyed it, although I would have preferred a different ending
