Well he'll always be Caleb to me--James is far too tame a name for him :P

Awww...

It had me worried at the beginning when I started reading this yesterday, that bit at the start where Livvie's telling the FBI agent...I wanted to cry.

It picked up, though the backward and forward thing had me confused to start with but I quickly warmed to it.

I am most definitely a fan of the author after reading these books and I'm starting Epilogue right now so I can read more about these two: Kitten and Caleb :D

"It's different with films. I don't listen to old music, but with films, a film that I love, I watch over and over again. There's a film called Jean Des Florette and the sequel's called Manon Des Sources, that I absolutely love and it's made in the '80s by Claude Berri. It's such a beautiful film. Again, the characters are so beautifully drawn, they're so subtle and lovely. I always take it on tour with me and it's a real comfort. I watch it night after night on tour. It's like music to me, it makes me happy."

"One of my all-time favorite books that’s always by my nightstand. I regularly read a few pages of it before going to sleep. Marcus Aurelius was the emperor of Rome for 19 years and a Stoic philosopher who can teach us all how to find the eye of the hurricane in the middle of our hectic and stressful lives. There’s so much wisdom on every page, you can just let the book fall open — he was an emperor, after all, so let him choose — and find something that will be meaningful for whatever you’re facing that day."

3.5 stars, mainly because I got a bit confused in the middle bit, where the guys were trying to keep them away from Colby but treating them as friends and getting closer to them at the same time. Probably just me.

Other than that though I liked it. I liked the whole 'forever' thing, finding that one thing that you can do forever that'll make you happy. Going after what you want. Falling in love slowly. Meeting lots of great new friends. Growing up and realising that what you thought as first isn't always right. And lots of surfing.

This could be a song by George Harrison because the lyrics are that good and the voice is that humble. The string section is the lake that we float upon and the acoustic guitar is the boat that carries us across. And always with the voice just behind your shoulder. It's not a whisper, it's not a shout.

As the song progresses it approaches a sort of poetic ecstasy that flowers and fades and after there is much to discuss:

“Yeah and pain is your teacher now
You’ll make it through somehow
Do all you can to find the light”
