Great for Parties
I love this game. I play it with my family at Christmas and on holiday (because we are strange and inappropriate). It is always hilarious and often lasting jokes are created by the conversations we have whilst playing. (n.b. I would not recommend this as a "family game" for most families!)
The only drawback is that we play it a lot and thus some combinations of cards get played again and again which makes them less funny. Therefore we have to keep buying expansion packs to save from getting tired of it. However, that does make buying presents easier as Cards Against Humanity regularly bring out new decks and we can all buy them for eachother.

Big Little Lies - Season 1
Big Little Lies - Season 1

Amazing
When there's a book, I almost always read it first. I made an exception for Big Little Lies after I saw the trailer. The cinematography, the pacing, the acting were all so compelling in the ads alone that I held off on the book. I'm so glad I did. Everything about the series was pitch perfect. The performances were stellar. Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman were phenomenal. It was gorgeously shot. The music was atmospheric, and the setting--different from the one in the book--fit the story perfectly. The writing was very well done--the kind of mystery you congratulate yourself for figuring out except for one little piece (it's designed that way, and quite elegantly). One of the season's best shows.

Wild Lavender (The Aurelian Guard #1) by Nicole Elizabeth Kelleher
WILD LAVENDER is the first book in The Aurelian Guard series, and is also the debut novel by this author. We are transported to a medieval world, where things aren't always equal or what they seem.

I found this book to be a strong opening to this series. We not only have strong characters on both sides of the conflict, but the world-building is there without overpowering the story. The romance comes later, after a horrific start for Anna. She surely deserves all the love she can get!

With no errors that I noticed, I loved this fantasy world, and I can't wait to read more. Absolutely recommended by me.

Just what DC needed
Contains spoilers, click to show
I myself am a huge DC fan boy and over the past couple of years I have seen ups and downs with DC. Finally after Wonder Woman and Aquaman, DC has started to get back into the grove. I have always wanted DC films to be dark and gruesome but Shazam is something of a charmer. It's funny fresh and doesn't try to hard to be something it's not. The characters are brilliant and the Easter eggs throughout the film are brilliant and would make any DC fan scream with delight. It's a great story of an orphan child and the difficulties faced but seeing what a true hero can be is great to see!

Far fetched
The Fast and the Furious has always been one of my favorite series... but to be honest they should have stopped after number 5 or even 6....

The story has become so washed out. It used to be about basic street racing with some crime mixed in. It was a tale of family, and loyalty.

This series has become so far fetched it's crazy. The realism is what people liked in the beginning, and they have all but obliterated that. There is so much unrealistic crashing, and maneuvers that is becomes unbelievable. They went from small time, to big time in a huge way. From being about family, to being about betrayal.

It could just be me, but it's just not a movie for me.

David Cronenberg tackles Stephen King
After a nearly fatal car crash which send him into a coma for 5 years, former teacher Christopher Walken must try and rebuild his life while dealing with the discovery of his new "power" to see into the someone's future just by touching their hand.

His assists several townspeople before running into power-hungry politician Martin Sheen.

Early film from director David Cronenberg still holds up as a decent thriller. The "visions" are interesting as always people are not what they seem on the surface. Intriguing developments keep you entertained the entire time as you watch to see how things play out.

You are definitely hoping certain characters get what's coming to them.

How far will a mother's love go?
As a mother, simply reading the description of this book tore my heart out and I knew I had to pick it up... I'm so glad I did. A fabulous read - heartbreaking and tragic but I could not put it down!?

Abi wakes to the call no parent should get - that her daughter Olivia has been in a tragic accident. Having always felt so close to her daughter, Abi begins a search for answers after finding out that everything she knew about Olivia is a lie.

How far will a mother's love go? To the ends of the earth of course....

My first book by this author and I'll surely be back for more!!

Some good plot twists
Few underdeveloped characters/storylines (0 more)
From looking at the poster and trailer, I wasn't sure whether Carnival Row would be 'up my street'. However, after the first episode I was gripped. One of the main things I look out for in any TV show or film is the sincerity of the acting. Cara Delevigne shone for me. I was pleasantly surprised by her as I have only known her as a model. Orlando Bloom also showed great talent, as always. If you like crime and fantasy, this is the perfect blend of both worlds, and I would highly recommend giving it a go. It deserves all the praise it has received. I am very much looking forward to the second season.

I enjoyed this novel much more than its predecessor for many reasons, not the least of which is the different narrator chosen for the audiobook. I wholeheartedly believe this narrator made the plot seems more interesting, the characters more vivid and the pace of the novel better than the previous one. The recurring characters, along with the multitude of new ones, really fleshed out the story which takes off running after the events of The Tourist and, although background is always recommended, works nicely as a stand-alone. The fact that this narrator was different from the first made me give this one a try; that the next has the same narrator as this makes me want to continue the series.
