Timeless classic
A classic, forerunner in the world of tile laying board games, and still holds its own after so many years and so many plays. Simply and approachable ruleset makes this game accessible for all manner of players, and the fact that the tables can turn at the lay of a tile, means that ereryone is always in the running.

The Grimm's Brothers stories are not all rainbows and happily ever after. Some are downright dark. Its always nice to read things that you think you know the story of and realize that you didn't get the whole story.
For a fantastical dark witty and baffling time the grimms stories are there for you.
How could they put all those dresses into walnut shells?

"I was a gigantic Twin Peaks fan and always wanted to love David Lynch’s movies as much as I loved that show. That wasn’t happening for me, but then I watched Mulholland Dr. Naomi Watts’s audition scene blew my mind and broke my heart. The movie tapped into something deep within me, and I was left sobbing in the theater well after the lights came back on."

"“My dad is a big film buff, and he really got my sister and I into films. I go to the cinema at least once a week, but watching the movies my dad introduced me to is like coming home. We try and watch this every Christmas and we always cry our eyes out. We even call our dog Zsu Zsu after the little girl in it.”"

"An Iranian poetess made this film on her own, upon a request from a leper’s house. She died three years after. I often show this most poetic and distressing film in festivals. The audience is always blown away, despite its monstrous side. I also think about the destiny of this woman, directing a movie in Iran in 1962, which must have been very difficult..."

"Actually didn’t know this film was called Thieves till I bought the Criterion disc. It will always be The Bicycle Thief to me. This is the holy grail, the ultimate filmmaking bible. It maximizes its use of father/son dynamics and trying, real locations, all while its pure emotional current is completely understated yet very felt. This is one of those before and after films. "

After hearing such mixed reviews, I went in with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. I thought this reboot really did the original justice, bringing a self-awareness to the conceit that the franchise has always had.
Mark Hamill was great, Aubrey Plaza makes a pretty convincing mom, and Chucky's got jokes. What more did you really want?
