Legitimately sounds like 70's era Stones at times (0 more)
Smoky and Serene
When I heard the Stones were releasing a blues cover album, I though that Keith Richards would steal the show, but it is actually Jagger who is most prominent on this record. This album proves that the Stones have still got it and at times, they sound just like they did when they were in their 30's. If you are a Stones fan or a fan of blues music in general, then this is essential.

Going Gaga over this album
First of all, I loved the film. I was impressed by the variety of tracks on the album from Gaga's rendition of 'LA Vie En Rose' to her heartbreaking ballads, belting out duets and a good dose of country with Bradley Cooper. His solo effort 'Maybe It's Time' is a little gem in its own right. The addition of character dialogue between songs let's you relive the movie and experience that Jackson Maine deep voice on another level :)

Kurt Cobain is at his literal best (1 more)
They play more than just their own music giving the album a diverse sound
This is the ultimate unplugged experience, being challenged only by maybe Alice in Chains. Kurt Cobain is at his literal best. His voice is so powerful throughout the album as he takes on Nirvana classics as well as covers of songs that inspired him, from David Bowie to the Meat Puppets and more. Nirvana Unplugged is essential listening for any rock fan, especially fans of grunge and 90s Alternative.

Rolling Stone's 2nd greatest album of all time
Fantastic album, and one I have spent a lot of time listening to. Indeed, on this listen I immediately went back and listened to it again. From the sublime Wouldn't It Be Nice, to the sombre Don't Talk and the story of Sloop John B and the uplifting I Know There's an Answer (or as I prefer, the Hang on to Your Ego version). Every song is a singalong classic and I would encourage everyone to give this a few listens.

"I have that shit, I love Southern rap. For whatever reason that just connects with me. I’m like, ‘Yes, no, mama does make crack like this.’ That makes the most sense to me. I’m just a little white kid growing up in the suburbs and I’m like, ‘Yes, mama makes crack likes this.’ ‘What’s that, Adam?’ ‘Nevermind, mom.’ “Basically, I feel like when I started smoking weed and drinking beer, I fell in love with every album. Every album is between 98 and 2003, it’s a real turning point in my life.”"
