Rolling Stone's 11th greatest album of all time
Compilation of early Presley recordings from his time at Sun Records. No particular standout tracks, but it is always good to hear a different side of an artist of his stature, seeing how we developed from an energetic young showman into ... the caricature of him in later life.

"The first single I ever bought was ‘Roxanne’ by The Police, and then my first album was ‘Setting Sons’ by The Jam – I bought it with some birthday money. It has soldiers on the front and it’s got Union Jacks and a bulldog and it’s got ‘Little Boy Soldiers’ on it… it’s a pretty good record."

"This album is incredibly inspiring for me. The way he experiments with sounds and drums and voices is really amazing. He was really thinking out of the box for this one. But my favorite thing is how he conceptualizes songs. Like in 'The Ballad of Dorothy Parker 'or 'Starfish and Coffee.' Seriously there is no one like him!"

"There's a simplicity and vulnerability in Justin Vernon's voice that's very easy to listen to. I love this debut album because it feels so lyrically intimate and like there's no one and nothing between you and it. No distracting production to take you away from the feeling. 'Skinny Love,' 'Flume,' and 'Blindsided' are some of the tracks I love."

Rolling Stone's 459th greatest album of all time (2020)
While this hip hop is a lot better and more listenable than a lot of the more aggressive examples, there wasn't quite as much substance or character as the likes of Eminem or Kanye. It just felt like there was something missing for quite a lot of it.

"Time is a science fiction album. It has songs about falling in love with robots. It has songs about hover cars and time travelling back to the 1980s. BUT THE 1980s HADN’T HAPPENED YET! Why do you not think this is the best music made by humans? Do you not like laser guns? What is wrong with you?"

"I’ve got everything they ever did, and it’s hard to pick one, really. We like ‘A Very Cellular Song’ - who else could write a song about an amoeba and make it sound great? That was Jaye’s favourite Incredible String Band song, so that’s why we picked that album. You can see the connections growing here, can’t you?"

"I think I discovered this album around ten years ago. Jim O'Rourke might have turned me on to it. Catherine Ribeiro's voice is so amazing and the music sounds so - I hate to use the word organic, but I just kind of relate it to the music as well on this record. She is definitely an influence on me."

"Wilco is the best modern band out there. The first album I heard was Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, and that just sort of blew my mind. Me and my brother like to think that we’re sort of in the same vein as Wilco, music-wise. I just think Wilco is the most inventive, amazing band of our generation."

Pretty Alright
I myself am not a huge Tame fan, I mean I don't hate them and I can listen to them, but by no means do I love them. However, compared to Lonerism, I think that this album is so much better. It's better produced, it's deeper, but like all things, it could be better.
