Come on we all thought are teachers were probably aliens at one point or another.
Okay this is one of those movies where I can find no faults with it. The plot is simple and to the point but hooks you in from the very beginning, the cast is A+ and so star studded that to this day it's still pretty crazy to watch it and see everyone.

I've always been a fan of Bodysnatchers movies there's something about them has always creeped me out more then most other horror genres and The Faculty for me will always be my favorite from the genre.

This is basically a South Park version of Plants vs Zombies, where you assemble a cast of South Park characters and look to attack others. There is a "career" mode where you play the New Kid looking to control the cowboys to put Stan and his Indians in their place. This soon develops into battling against Kenny and his aliens/robots.
A great fun little game where you can power up your cards to be more powerful/last longer, and take on other players in PvP battles.
A nice little waste of time.

Aliens is the perfect example of how to do a sequel properly. Not only does it match the excellence of the first Alien film, it almost surpasses it. There are some elements of claustrophobia and suspense, but this has now been paired with lots of action, and it works really well. The casting is great and the new characters are a welcome addition, and bring a lot of humour. The Xenomorph itself is still as terrifying as before, but with a whole new 'team' dynamic thrown in. James Cameron has done a fantastic job with this one.

This is a cute little kids' comic that is both fun and has some good messages. It has some surprisingly deep concepts, such as animal testing, PTSD, and agoraphobia, but touches on them in a light way so not to disturb children (hopefully). I abhor animal testing so this probably bothers me more than it would a child, although it is aliens doing the testing in the book. Besides that, the characters are cute and well-represented, the drawings are nice and clear, and the colors are vibrant and fun. A very cute book that could be expanded into a series.

After 11 years stuck on Earth, John Carter is thrilled to find himself back on Mars. But he will have to fight hostile aliens and superstition to get back to his beloved wife.

I enjoyed this for what it was - an action novel. The characters are rather thin, although I certainly found myself caring for the main characters. And John's amazing ability to fight off waves of enemies gets a little tiring. But it's still a fun book. Watch out for the cliffhanger.

Cult horror from Bigelow and the supporting cast of Aliens boldly reinvents the vampire movie by dumping all the gothic trappings (coffins, crucifixes, bats) and tapping into more contemporary fears: the movie's band of wandering killer rednecks would be frightening even if they weren't vampires.

Genuinely unsettling, very influential: to be honest the leads are less memorable than the character turns from Henriksen, Paxton and Goldstein, but you go to watch a vampire movie for the vampires, don't you? Works just as well as a western, in its own way, too. The movie that The Lost Boys dreams of being when it grows up.

The publisher is selling this book hard, comparing it to the X-Files, Indiana Jones, Tomb Raider, and Dan Brown (ew). This novel is about a dude who has a youtube show to seek out different truths and whatnot, basically, a tinge of Ancient Aliens with some Tomb Raider thrown in there.
There was also an indication that this might be somewhat of a horror, though it wasn't, I've read more graphic descriptions of death in a Jo Nesbo novel.
The book took a little bit to get going, but after it did, I demolished it in two 150 page reading stretches. This book is officially released 19 June 2018.

I received a copy of this book from Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

I really, really loved this book. I have a thing for kids books that don't treat their audience like they need to be spoon-fed.

The story starts with Lan and their family going to the planet Choom after being in a sleep for decades.
Unfortunately the government has changed and the Hunan's are no longer welcome.
What happens next is an very well written story of xenophobia and the friendships with the aliens.

There's some pretty dark humor which I'm all about. I really enjoyed Lan and Marfs relationship!
