ASSISTING THE ALPHA is the debut novel in the Soldati Security series, featuring a multi-species ex-SAS team, led by Ethan. They want a contract from the mayor, but are lacking in one area, which is where Ayo comes in. He is a sorcerer with fluctuating power levels, so his cousin, who is also the head of the coven, won't let Ayo do anything more than admin. In a fit of pique, Ayo quits and gets a job with Soldati Security, which opens many doors as he is well-liked by pretty much everyone.

Although Ethan and Ayo are fated mates, it isn't instantaneous, and neither party is sure. That doesn't stop them from acting on the attraction between them, but before long, this story is so much more than just that. You have an inheritance, serial murder, plus getting to know the individuals of the team.

This was a great read, and I look forward to returning to this world for Raj's story.

UNKNOWN OMEGA is the first book in the Alpha Elite series, set in a dystopian Omegaverse. It begins with our unit on a secret mission, which gives you an insight into their abilities and capabilities. Time moves on, and they are sent on a different mission, to a world where there are only betas. While they are there, Seeck sees the Unknown Omega of the title. They slightly interact before her world is thrown into chaos, and she ends up leaving with the unit.

I thought this was a great start to the series. I loved how Seeck wasn't interested in his lifemate, but his brothers-in-arms wouldn't let him abandon her, knowing what it would mean. I thought all of these guys were wonderful, and I can't wait to read more about each of them.

The Unknown Omega claims a name, Nova, and yep, I loved that too. She is a contrary character, but I thought it was well written, because so much has been trained into her, yet the world has changed so much.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and hope to continue with the series. Definitely recommended by me.

Kim is on a camping trip with her little sister and her sister's current 'pretty boy'. They quickly decide that more fun is to be had at Kim's cottage, and it is with great pleasure, that Kim shoo's them off. This gives her the opportunity to investigate a growling sound that she heard that, although she knows should scare her, doesn't. She doesn't find an animal, what she finds is a big, strapping Viking, complete with broadsword. She is able to get him back to her cottage where, luckily, her sister and pretty boy have already left. The fun then starts for Kim, culminating with a choice that she has to make.

This was a fun but hot read, with main characters that were 'human'. There was no silliness in Kim's behaviour, and Asger was alpha enough to be dreamy, without being a misogynistic fool.

There is love, action, romance and humour to be found within these pages. This is book one of the series and I can't wait to read more. Definitely recommended.
