The first season of Vampire Diaries was, by far, the best season. It went a little downhill from there. Of course, it differs drastically from the books, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. The cast is all fantastic, and the soundtrack is amazing.

The whole production including sets, wardrobe is all top class
I love this film, great story, all star cast, good use of effects and lighting. Lots of references to Nosferatu! Best of all an amazing performance from Gary Oldman.

I listened to this book on Audible and the narration was amazing. The story itself seemed to jump, but that appears to be by design. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book, even when it was a bit difficult to listen to. Highly recommended.

I don't only listen to the mountain goats. I don't listen to them at all, because I don't particularly like their music. But I love this podcast. Joseph and John have amazing conversations and you don't need to like their other works to enjoy.
