I went into this book not having any clue what I would be reading. However I am very glad I got to review it because this was so amazing. It was like a giant puzzle.. it kept me guessing on what was going to happen next and who was going to do what. I have never read da vinci's code but was told it was sort of like that. I can't tell you if that's true or not but if so I need to read that as well. Derek's writing was so amazing it was vivid.. It showed you this world.. it showed you what was happening and at the same time showed you nothing. I loved it and I'm so glad I got to review it

I took my daughter to the cinema to watch this film not expecting much at all... I was blown away. From the costumes and the colours, the love story.... The fun! I found myself tapping my feet along to the songs and getting invested in the characters. The songs fit the film beautifully and the actors were picked perfectly. My daughter who is very shy and suffers from anxiety came away feeling great and said to me "you know what it is ok to be different" this is me resonated with a lot of people. A great film and amazing soundtrack. We went onto Spotify and got it as soon as we could!

"Such a devastating and beautiful film. It’s interesting to see Amy Winehouse as a young girl with raw talent, and watch how, like a wave, she goes up and up and up and then crashes. As a viewer, you feel almost guilty to be watching her – she was watched enough – but this is a respectful portrait and I like that it celebrates her music. A lot of the time, in films about female artists, they only focus on the tragedy of their emotional lives and not enough about how amazing their craft was – and with this film you definitely get a sense of what an amazing singer and songwriter she was. She was much more than someone with addiction problems: she was a singular talent."

"One of my favorite films has always been Tootsie. I think I fell in love with New York and the romantic idea of being an actor from that movie. I saw it in a theater when I was really young and I don’t think I understood it all, but I remember people laughing so hard and I just knew I was watching a great movie. And all that stuff between Dustin Hoffman and Sydney Pollack is amazing. I revisit that movie a lot. I think, again it has that effect — it’s a very bittersweet movie, because it’s really funny but it also has those great sweet, honest moments. And it’s about a guy wearing a dress. I mean, it’s amazing that they pulled that movie off."

After ''Ingredients of love'', I thought there couldn't be a better love book in Paris. I was so much wrong. This book... This book.. is the most amazing thing I've read in maybe years. Melanie reminds me of myself. Every single part of her. Her character has made me want to read the book one more time and another and another. And Alain,oh my God.. His will to find her left me breathless. His resistance to Solene, his love for Melanie and his strong faith, even when sometimes even he lost faith.. At the end, I realized that everything remains in the hands of Destiny. That little chance we all get in life, and our choice whether we'll make it right or wrong. Amazing.. <3
