Interesting movie. I wouldn't have called it amazing, but the whole movie kept me at my toes all the way through.

Some scenes can be pretty graphic - so warning for the faint hearted.
I loved the western side of it, and the adventure they endeavour, following by a hero who tries to save his girl.

Definitely worth watching - as it's quite unique in its own way, and one-of-a-kind.

"This woman was the real deal. She paved the way for Leah Chase during the ‘50s and ‘60s, and she paved the way for women in restaurants today. The amazing female chefs in my own restaurants look up to these strong women of the early 20th century. Her recipes are nothing but good old fashioned comfort food, which I use a lot of in Red Rooster and Streetbird, my Harlem restaurants."

"This is when I fell in love with the genius Mr. Clarke & Alison's amazing voice. I could see why they thought she was a black gospel singer in the Detroit/Chicago House clubs. 'I Before E Except After C' kinda fucks your head up, and it's very indicative of what it's like to work with Vince. 'Winter Kills' is bleak and heart bracingly sublime all at the same time."
