TravelersWife4Life (31 KP) rated A Welcome at Our Door (Amish Homestead #4) in Books

Oh WOW This book was simply amazing!
I have not read very many books by Amy Clipston but this one was Great. Such a compelling story about listening to what God has for you even though it is hard and you do not always have support. God uses these times to grow us and show us the way we are suppose to go. A truly great read that made my heart happy ! I highly recommend getting this book into your hands!

This story was right up my street. It had everything I look for in a book; humour, sexiness and a good plotline. So in my opinion Cora Carmack is a genius!
If you ask me, Garrick quite possibly pulled every single female reader within those first two chapters. Girls, he’s hot! In fact, Garrick seems pretty fecking perfect and I have to say I’m slightly jealous of Bliss. The rest of the characters are a fun bunch and when they do the whole getting drunk thing together I was laughing.

That end bit almost had me crying!
Jeez, I thought she'd possibly killed their relationship, and as much as I understand why she did it, and even tried to stop it, you really should have talked to him first, Nava.
As for the rest of it. Drio, get your head out of your arse! You very clearly had feelings for Leo, so don't start with all your BS! And then what happened to Lillith? And what's going to happen next with the Brotherhood conspiracy-like attacks?
Can't wait to read book 5 (and Nava and Rohan better get back to their amazing level relationship)!

Leanne Crabtree (480 KP) rated Charming (Pax Arcana, #1) in Books

This is going to have to go down as a DNF, I'm afraid.
It seemed to start good but then came the information overload and I am so not a fan of that. I got to 21% and just couldn't muster up the energy to continue reading it because it held very little appeal.
I was expecting some amazing fairy-tale-esque story with a kick-arse hero by the name of Charming.
Maybe I didn't get far enough into the story for that to happen but heaps of info are so not my thing and it really turns me off a story and that's what happened here.
