Apr 3, 2023 (Updated Apr 10, 2023)
This book is about Lou, a currently unemployed person who has no idea what to do with her life, and a surprise vacation to Scotland. Intermingled with modern day Scotland, we have the Scotland of the 1500's and specifically Isobel Key. I loved how the story was intertwined and things from the past had relevance in the 'here and now'. I also enjoyed how Lou grew and changed as the story goes along and becomes more self-confident. Intriguing story and with a splash of mystery and romance. Really enjoyed it.

David McK (3562 KP) rated Devotion (2022) in Movies
Feb 12, 2023 (Updated Feb 12, 2023)
I saw this on Amazon Prime (I don't think it got a theatrical release), and heard good things about it, with a few of the reviewers saying it was even better than Top Gun: Maverick.
Unfortunately, I think they watched a different film than me.
This is set during the Korean War, and tells the story of the friendship between Naval aviators Tom Hudner and Jesse Brown; the latter one of the first non-white aviators in the air force at the time.
Personally, I found the film to be quite long and drawn-out, with even the vaunted flight scenes looking just not-quite right!

This is a short but sweet introduction to Sean and Jenna of the Kagan Wolf Pack. Sean is fighting against his wolf's instincts of claiming his 'place' within the pack. He refuses to shift and instead tries to drown out his wolf by drinking at the local bar instead. Everything is going well until he meets a female shifter who pushes all the right buttons, challenging him to act as her equal.
A good introduction to these two characters, whilst still leaving you wanting more in general. Definitely recommended as a quick but hot read.

Greatness
I love this app. I can get lost in it. I find a book add it to my list to read then look thru all the other recommendations it gives. End up adding half of those also. I have come across some great authors who I fall totally in love with their every book because it was a book recommended to me by the app. I love have they have now linked it to go to amazon so you can buy it. Made it so much easier! Only down side to me is it doesn't allow for half stars. I wish it would.
