Surprisingly sweet
I usually don't have much hope for original Netflix or Amazon Prime movies figuring if they were good a studio would have purchased them or they would have played in theatres; however, I thought this one was sweet. I do enjoy both Dakota Fanning and Elizabeth Olsen so I thought I would give it a try.

Two friends decide they want to have sex before going to college. Unfortunately, they decide on the same guy as their companion without telling the other. Relationships get complicated for sure.

Certainly not going to win any awards, but I thought the acting was solid all around including supporting performances by Ellen Barkin, Clark Gregg, Demi Moore and Richard Dreyfuss.

The dialogue was touching in spots and when things get complicated, you are really rooting for the friendship to ensure.

A prequel worth reading.
*I was given a copy of this book for a fair and honest review by the author.*

When I originally started reading it, I wasn't crazy about this book. I set it aside and left it there for other books.

Recently, I went back and got the book in a different format, and I began to enjoy it much more. You get a chance to see how Marella is trying to grow and adapt, how her actual Testing goes, and you get to learn about her family relationships.

Personally, I have not read the "official" first book, but I plan on going to pick it up shortly on Amazon. All in all, I'm pretty eager to see what happens next and I can't wait to see how Marella's world changes. Well done!

Captain Ingram's Inheritance follows on from the two previous stories in this trilogy, Miss Jacobson's Journey and Lord Roworth's Reward. They are Regency romances in the traditional vein, but a bit more tongue in cheek than someone like Georgette Heyer. The best comparison would probably be with some of the Regency stories written by MC Beaton - if you like them, you'll love these.

English readers may know Carola Dunn from her Daisy Dalrymple books, but she is originally English and has written a fair number of regencies. It looks like most have only been published in the US, although they are available on Amazon as Kindle editions.

The three books are very much related and should be read in order to give you the bigger picture; this book and the previous volume very much cross over, almost like one story.

The Aeronauts (2019)
The Aeronauts (2019)
2019 | Adventure, Drama
1860's period action/drama piece, starring Eddie Redmayne (I still associate him more with Newt Scaramander) and Felicity Jones (who I still associate more with Rogue One), told pretty much in 'real-time' and charting an attempt by a Royal Society meteorologist James Glaisher to ascent in a hot air balloon to study the weather in a period when nobody believed this was possible, and when the sky was still largely unknown

That much is fact.

The character of Amelia Wren, however? Completely made up - I only discovered this afterwards, when I read a bit more into it!

Predictably light-weight, and released (early?) on Amazon Prime - due to the current global pandemic - I'm happy enough to have seen this one, but am also happier that I didn't have to pay to do so in the cinema!

I'm glad I did finally simple plot security robots go haywire killing off anyone who trespassers in the shopping mall there are some good kills not great acting Kelli Maloney from night of the comet is the standout out of the acting. wish there was mote dick miller great actor but has one scene in the movie. Liked the design of the robots very 80s. Anyway not a bad movie just wished I had seen the movie alot sooner
