I don't love that artists are paid less than a cent per listen, but that's more the music label than Spotify. (0 more)

At last, a movie for modern day America: one where the people colluding with the Russian president are the good guys!

"Another movie is Once Upon a Time In America, which is a bit of genius film-making, I think. That’s a film I can watch all night long. And I think it is four hours long, or something like that. It’s just a wonderful film to watch."

"A loose autobiography written almost in stream of consciousness with expertly rendered romance. This book is melancholy moodiness at its finest. It does not seem to rely too much on veracity. I yearn for this version of America and aspire to be this type of New Yorker."

Tara Westover gives an interesting insight into what it isike growing up in a rural part of America with survivalist parents (0 more)
I found her life to be interesting but the writing itself to be quite clinical at points. (0 more)
An interesting view on what makes an education
Tara Westover's story needs to be read to be believed. She grew up in a mountain in rural America in the 90's and had to overcome a lot of struggles brought on by her parents increasingly extreme Mormon beliefs. The story itself is extremely interesting, however I struggled eith the writing style, finding it often quite detached.

This is mostly about how it was dealing with how the Amish came to America. It really tells the story of what happens on a ocean crossing. To extent that it gives what it like when Amish and other were traveling to the New World for their freedom.

You do not go into it expecting what is to happen. It seem more historical then Amish. Though is mostly about Amish and how they come to America. Susanne tell a story about Anna and though she is with while crossing the ocean. She seem interested in the carpenter on the Charming Nancy? Who could that be?

"This has a bit of an H.P. Lovecraft feel to it. We were stuck, because there were two albums, the other one being by his band, The United States of America. That one’s much more weird, and we like it a lot, but this one we always found harder to listen to, so for that reason we chose it. Because if it’s still hard to listen to, there must be something in it that’s playing with my expectations, whereas The United States of America is fairly funky. So, it was a struggle to choose one, but in the end we picked that one for the singing."

Two stars for being addictive, but I'm rather surprised at all the positive reviews. In The One, some facts from previous books were pushed to the side as the author tried to convey the magnitude of the love between America and Maxon. It made the book extremely unrealistic.
