Sammeh Lowry (15 KP) rated Anastasia Krupnik (Anastasia Krupnik, #1) in Books
Jul 13, 2019
Anastasia krupnik is a 10 year girl who has a wonderful if not a little strange out look on life. She hates many things one day and loves them the next. She has funny but wonderful thoughts and ideas. I first read about Anastasia when i was roughly 10 and i loved her then just as i do now at 23. They might be a little dated nowadays but i still think they are amazing, i think Anastasia was the first Georgia Nicholson (angus thongs and perfect snogging) or possibly the mates dates series. These books still haven't lost their charm though.

Enjoyed the last film better than the others, there was more action in this movie with Anastasia driving the car fast to escape being followed by Liz and Mia being kidnapped by Jack, had me on the edge on the couch for a while. The story was well done.
Would be good if they did another movie to see what happens with Christian and Anastasia as parents.

Fighter ( The Prophecy book 2 )
By Jessica Wayne
A plan has been set in motion. With confidence in her magic and the man she loves by her side, Anastasia feels bulletproof. But nothing could be further from the truth. When she and Dakota travel back to Seattle, they find something they never would have expected, and as the blows keep coming, Anastasia learns the harsh reality of what it means to be a Fighter. As her world crumbles around her, Anastasia scrambles to pick up the pieces and fight for those she loves. But the worst is yet to come, because Vincent has a card up his sleeve, and it could change the whole game.
The second book was even better than the first! I love this who concept. The only thing in this one they were all at deaths door at some point I mean Anastasia and Dakota are just yo-yos on deaths finger! But I do really enjoy the world Jessica has built!!

This was my favorite book of 2018! I feel it got swept under the rug by some. This loosely based retelling of Anastasia was just fantastic.

Pointless sex scenes every 5min, characters you can't relate to and not loveable, Anastasia is the most annoying character I have ever seen in a movie.
I had more fun looking inside my empty cup of coffee trying to figure out funny shapes in my mug than watching the movie. Can't believe they made a third one.

Phoenix ( THe Prophecy boom 1)
By Jessica Wayne
Anastasia Carter is plagued by nightmares of death and coming destruction.
Countless nights she's awoken coated in sweat, unable to shake the feeling that someone was coming for her.
But nightmares are just tricks of the mind, right?
Her world is turned upside-down when dreams become reality and a violent attack rips her away from the man she loves, landing her in a world parallel to her own.
In Terrenia, Anastasia must question everything she ever thought she knew.
As she struggles to come to terms with her new reality, she discovers she doesn't have much time. Terrenia is on the brink of a war that could easily destroy not only this world, but Earth as well, and only one person holds the key.
Anastasia must find the light within to defeat the darkness that comes for them all.It was actually really enjoyable to read. Straight forward very good writing and a world and characters to love and hate!
A bit predictable in places but that wasn’t a bad thing! The book flowed well!
I read a bit of Jessica Wayne when I read a collaboration with Meg Anne and knew I’d enjoy her books!

Murder, intrigue, court battles, and a mysterious woman whose story captured the attention of the world for over five decades, starting with the Russian Revolution. This is what you’ll find in Ariel Lawhon’s newest historical fiction novel “I was Anastasia” and you can read what I thought of this book in my review here. https://tcl-bookreviews.com/2018/03/10/a-majestic-clash/

Anna Anderson has spent over fifty years of her life fighting to prove she is the Grand Duchess Anastasia. Her story begins near the end as she battles in court to get recognition. Anastasia is 18 months away from that fateful night in Yekaterinburg. Does she in fact survive?
I love the time line set up in this book. It is an amazing idea to have both women moving toward each other like trains on the same track. The moment they collide will be the moment we learn the truth. While I do not like Anna on a personal level, I appreciate how cunning, clever, and totally insane she is. She is one of most interesting characters I have ever read. I appreciate the amount of research that must have went into this novel. While it is a work of fiction, I bet that was a time consuming task.
The only criticism I can possibly have for this book is the very thing I like most: The Timeline. Some readers may find the nonlinear design difficult to follow.
I Was Anastasia by Ariel Lawhon is a work of historical fiction. It is the prefect marriage of creativity and intelligence. From her character development to the time line set up, it is an amazing piece of work. I Was Anastasia will be published March 27, 2018 by Doubleday Books.
I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars rating. It is by far the best book I have read this year. I would recommend it to any lover of the Romanov history or historical fiction lover. However, I do recommend doing some research first. I have a good deal of knowledge on the Romanovs and that improved my experience with this book.

ANASTASIA ...IN SPAAAACE!
I really liked this one! The world-building was fascinating. The characters are great. I adored Capt. Siege.
The only problem is a Robb problem and this is where we get into nice vs. kindness. Robb is...okay. He's not an actively offensive character but he just reacts to things, which makes perfect sense for his character BUT with other students check dynamic characters this really stood out to me.
