What You Wish For
Wishmaster- is a good horror film. The concept/plot is intresting. Plus it has cameoes from horror icons: Robert Englund, Kane Hodder and Tony Todd.

The plot: A gemologist (Tammy Lauren) unwittingly frees an evil genie (Andrew Divoff) that plays deadly tricks on her friends and acquaintances.

Its a good film.

The plot: When erudite black playwright Andrew Sterling (Samuel L. Jackson) moves to a predominantly white suburb, the buffoonish local police surround his home, assuming he's a burglar. To avoid a scandal, unscrupulous Chief Tolliver (Dabney Coleman) conscripts low-rent criminal Amos Odell (Nicolas Cage) to break in and take Sterling hostage. But Amos and Andrew soon realize Tolliver has no plans to let either survive, so they must put their differences aside and work together to get out alive.

This movie is funny as hell, both Nicolas Cage and Samuel L Jackson are excellent. Also Brad Dourif is funny in this movie.

I dont why this film got bad reviews because it is great. A highly reccordmend movie.

Still, most of In the Lonely Hour is enjoyable just for Smith's voice alone—so unusual, unpredictable and utterly pleasing that it can be wonderful to listen to even through the most egregious of lite-FM tropes

a very fitting end!!
I was gifted my copy of this book, direct from the author, that I write a review was not required. But since I read and reviewed the other two parts, it's only fitting I review this one, too, don't you think??

This is the third and final book in the Escape trilogy and you rally MUST read the other two books first. You need to know how Edmund and Andrew found themselves in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, looking for an Elder!

Only Andrew has a say in these books, and THIS one, more than the other two, I NEEDED Edmund I really did! Some things happen here, that made me want to hear what he had to say, so bloody bad and he doesn't. I KNEW that he probably would not have a say, but a girl can hope, right?

Edmund and Andrew and their friends are on a boat to England and to find the Elder. Once the Elder has located and Edmund turned, they continue on to visit Edmund's sick mother. The "friend" looking after her is vile and dealing with her and the gifts the Elder has bestowed upon him, pushes Edmund to his limits. Then WHY the Elder gave Edmund these gifts becomes clear and Edmund has a choice: Andrew or the Elder.

I found this one a little less sexy than the others, but a whole lot more bloody! The way Edmund deals with the friend was scary, but needed I think. The Elder? Well he choose his path, once it became clear that there is, and there will only ever be, ONE person for Edmund.

I did not see what the "friend" was up to, looking after Edmund's mother, nor did I see what the Elder had planned fro Edmund, so it was nice to be surprised by those things.

I LOVED the epilogue! Seriously well played with that one!

I have enjoyed these three short bursts of Andrew and Edmund, but I really think had Edmund been given a voice too, these would have been all 5 star reads.

Thank you, for letting me read your books, Ms Dobie Bauer!

4 solid stars

Trixie and her friends are visiting Uncle Andrew again, this time in the Ozarks. The gang is hunting for some ghost fish, but they find danger and possibly real ghosts. Trixie isn't at her best here, but the plot is fun.

Everybody by Logic
Everybody by Logic

the repetitive nature of Logic’s lyrics hurts Everybody but for Logic’s younger core fan base, especially those going through struggles of their own, his latest work will be the catharsis to keep them from plunging off the deep end.

"Having now seen it about ten times, I'm convinced that Andrew Haigh's brilliant ghost story is one of the best films I've ever seen. It also has one of the most perfect final shots in all of cinema. Pair this one with the also-perfect The Age of Innocence (1993) (which serves as the opposite side of the same thematic coin) for a pummeling double feature."

"This just wrecked me. I went in knowing nothing except that gay men are my target demo and came out stunned by the subtlety and sensitivity of Andrew Haigh’s direction. This is also what inspired me to show ejaculate on television: there is one scene in which cum is such a central, and lovely, part of the experience of sex with another person. Messy, happy, lonely sex."
