Names can be confusing
Tipperton and Beau finally get some answers as the War of the Ban continues. This book does reference some of the previous books however you do not have to read those books first (unless it's part one of the Hel's Crucible duology). This duology is a great intro into the world of Mithgar. At times a little sad and graphic the descriptions are topnotch. The Elven names can be confusing at times Vandor and Vandar are two different Elves, usually Vandar is referenced as Silverleaf or Vandar Silverleaf which helps cut down on the confusion.

Idealization vs Obsession
I thoroughly enjoyed the way they portrayed the idea of idealization turning into unnoticeable obsession. While this notion was intriguing it was also heartbreaking. The characters where not hard to fall in love with at least in my opinion because I shared such a close philosophy with them. The movie, Kill Your Darlings, questions philosophy, friendship, passion, obsession, and existence. I've never watched another movie that so outwardly expressed such dark concepts in such brilliantly philosophical undertones. I recommend this movie to those that are mature enough to not only understand it's content but also brave enough to ask the same questions and explore the answers.

I enjoyed this book as we got to see more of Lucy and Tennyson and the growing connection between them.

I also enjoyed that some of the answers about Lucy were answered, as she possibly begins to get powers of her own, but what will they be??

I am still enjoying this series as a lighthearted teen book. We are also getting to see more of some of the other characters which is good as I particularly like Nikolai and Althea.

I still find it annoying that the main story is slow to progress, but will carry on with it as I am enjoying it.
