Mark @ Carstairs Considers (2494 KP) rated The Job (Fox and O'Hare, #3) in Books
Mar 9, 2018
When someone starts framing Nick Fox for an international crime spree, FBI agent Kate O’Hare has to jump in to find the true villain. But answers just lead them to a con that is the most dangerous of their partnership.
As always, this book is fast paced and fun with humor to keep things light and danger to keep the pages turning. The characters are getting better, but they could still be stronger. Still, I had so much fun reading this book.
NOTE: I was sent an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Sean Farrell (9 KP) rated The Supernatural Enhancements in Books
Mar 15, 2018
It's hard to describe this novel. On the one hand there is a pretty straightforward mystery at its center, full of clever puzzles and hints of conspiracy. On the other though is a possible haunting, a weird romance, and a very unusual narrative structure. The book is told in the form of journal entries, letters, notepad scribblings, security camera transcripts, and other means. This method can be very effective at slowly revealing answers, and may make this possibly the first "found footage" novel, but it also somehow removes the suspense in many scenes, and periodically makes things unnecessarily confusing. Still, I enjoyed reading this book, and would be interested in a sequel, so that should say something.

This is the third book in the series.
The book is very good, it answers some questions but definitely poses a lot more. It is possible to start to see some of the direction the series may take and who the key players are. Also to begin to make your own predictions and hopes.
It is good to see Talia and Erik continue to grow as people and their relationship evolving. They are both having to face the real world and the decisions they are making. They are also questioning what they are doing and why. The naivety of the previous books is gone.
I have really enjoyed this series and recommend it if you enjoy dystopia.

Amazing story. (1 more)
Beautiful lesson
A beautifully done addition to the Toy Story saga.
You always worry when they dig up old property to make a new film. Will they do it justice? Will they be true to the original? Is there really a need for another movie? Toy Story answers all these questions with a resounding YES! The original toys, along with some new additions, are brought back for a new adventure that hits all the notes that you love about the series. The laughs are there, as are the tears. A beautiful new chapter is added to the toys' saga as is the beautiful underlying lessons and morals of the story. Truly well done.

Beautiful family
Painfully Tragic and Beautifully Romantic
When I started Everything I Never Told You, I expected it to be a story of a family suffering a loss and finding the answers through old journals or realizations of their lost daughter.
Yes, the family learns things about her they did not know, but how I expected it to go down was WAY OFF.
We are able to grow with the kids, through poignant memories. We fall in love with both of the parents as they each reminisce. I felt the betrayal of the mistakes they made and the pure pride and joy as they grew as a family and as people.

James Koppert (2698 KP) rated 7 Little Words. A Fun Twist On Crossword Puzzles in Apps
Nov 13, 2019
Fun game for word fans
Made by an indy developer, 7 Words is a fun and easy to use game as an alternative take on the crossword puzzle.
Each level you are given a number of clues and a bunch of tiles. The tiles are the answers broken down in three letter parts. For example the clue may be 'the middle of the week' so you would click on tiles saying WED NES. DAY. It sounds simple but is trickier than you think
It's also intuitively designed and clean and easy to use. If you like word games a really recommend this and live supporting indie developers.

The author/publisher provided a free copy of the book for review purposes - thank you! Receiving a review copy does not guarantee a positive review and therefore do not affect the opinion or content of the review.
Julie Kagawa took my poorly shredded heart in Shadow of the Fox and shredded it some more because that Ending was God Awful and I needed more (because I need answers!) but I had to wait for Soul of the Sword.
It was a sad day for this bookwyrm. But then we got our claws on book two!
