"Anything that revolves around John Cassavetes has my vote. Anything that revolves around Gena Rowlands has my vote. Anything that revolves around the theater and aging and legacy and panic has my vote. So much anxiety, so much chaos. It’s human and imperfect and porous."

"A hyper-jittery assault of a movie, constant anxiety and tension, pulsating with a wall-to-wall, stress-inducing electronic score that leaves not a second to catch your breath. And for Sandler’s performance of Howard Ratner, a heartbreaking mess of a human being."

"We are the only gods here"

I LOVED this book. What an amazing premise, it really drew me in and I couldn't put the book down. Fast paced, anxiety inducing, deeply upsetting, and surprising, all in one. I'd love to see more books set in this world.
