"Two of the best big-screen showbiz memoirs ever made, both capturing the anxiety, euphoria, and sheer manic-nirvana of creation, and featuring endlessly catchy musical numbers: All That Jazz’s sweat-sheened “Take Off with Us” sequence and Head’s dreamy “Porpoise Song” psych-montage have nothing in common, save for the fact that both have stayed with me for decades."

Holy cow. There are few times where a movie has me gripped for the entirety of the viewing experience. This was one of them. I was on the edge of my seat from the beginning of the film until the last moments. Wow. The amount of anxiety that I felt during this film was through the roof. It was so so good.

This book had some holes in the plot but not enough to sink it. The characters made up for what was lacking and since this is a character driven story it worked. Brooke did a good job describing anxiety issues and that made Giselle seem more authentic. This gets four stars from me because despite the short fallings it was still a pleasure to read.
